The GOP sucks and MAGA has lots of clown behavior, but I can’t comprehend grown men voting for the party that openly disparages masculinity, personal responsibility, merit, etc.

A lot of how people vote has to do with peer pressure and peer acceptance. Everyone subconsciously craves a sense of belonging.
An arse ton of people on this board definitely come here for a sense of belonging.
For example, a lot of "baws" or what would be considered "baws" in New England vote Democrat because voting Republican in New England largely is associated with being uneducated and low-rent and hick-ish.

Because the Republican Party is now the party of bitter old geriatrics that demonize education, civility, and equity. It used to be about small government, strong economy, and family values. Now it’s just about sticking it to the other side.
