Poor people have always made babies.

Because poor people, by definition, are not a group of people with a demonstrated skill for decision making.
As such, a poor person actually thinks the welfare increase from the additional child is a net positive.

Poor decision making along with a lack of foresight. It's partly why being poor is negatively correlated with IQ and number of children. It's all connected.

I was also thinking about it this morning I was reading the money board. Guy on there was complaining he makes too much money to qualify for child tax credits. Meanwhile I feel I don't make enough to support kids, but no tax breaks for me.
