Everyone in the area knows how Nipsey was murdered..my friend has talked to people who were with him when he was murdered. The dude who shot him had a beef with Nipsey. The dude had mental issues.

it was senseless how he was murdered.

What happened? Or is it known what exactly happened yet?

I'd vaguely heard of the guy - not to diminish him at all but just keeping it real. I'm at least 2 Kevin Bacon's away from his demographic. And then he was murdered.

It seemed pretty serious I mean it’s clearly meant to be taken as he would hit a white person just cuz and then laugh. Also if someone asks you to stop being obnoxious and blaring your music on a plane maybe you should? Sounds like he was being an arse

Obviously the "I'll slap you cause of slavery was a joke". OP trying to act like that was a motto of his when it was just a joke.

maybe you shouldn't put your hands on a stranger even if it is just a light tap on the shoulder.

No it's pretty clear that was meant to be taken as a joke. A hyperbole that's not meant to be taken literaly. In any case actions speak louder than words. You trying to tell me instagram posts matter mater more than the shite he actually did? Gtfo with that ridiculous thinking.

That’s not a serious post, he’s talking about a man who invaded his personal space on a plane.

Allegedly. No one has any idea. Hell, he could have taken a random picture on the runway and made up the whole story for IG likes. Who knows? Not a good response even if the situation happened, or if it wasn't a serious post (whatever that means).

He didn’t “advocate beating up white people because of slavery.”

Is it the best thing he’s ever done? No.

Probably true.

quote:

Is it proof that he’s a racist who preached violence against white people? Also no.

I don't know enough about him to call him a racist or not. However, saying you'd physically assault a white person just because chattel slavery happened in America to black people is indeed preaching violence. No way around that.

I saw a video of him saying something about beating up an old white man on a bus. Find your own link.

He was killed by another black person is what happened. Never heard of him prior to the media making a huge ordeal after his death. But yeah, that Instagram post of the airplane situation was pretty damn racist.

The emoji directly after signifies he’s being facetious.

That’s not what happened, he was physically touched on the shoulder and was never asked according to the post. We also don’t know how loud the music was or why this guy seemed to be the only one with a problem.

Maybe. Does that mean he was preaching to urban youth that they should hurt all white people?

I understand why teenagers and other young adults might but these 30 and 40 year old members of the black community acting like some great person has passed is disturbing.

Got to agree....

The reaction of some of these supposed "adults" is pretty laughable....

They look like a bunch of 15 year old Ariana Grande fans getting pissed when someone points out how fking terrible she is....

My friend said that the dude started spraying bullets towards Nipsey. Supposedly there was a beef with a guy who was with Nipsey who just got out of jail and was placed on probation. There was some kind of argument before the shooting where Nipsey told the shooter to GTFO of the area because his buddy just got out of jail and was on probation and can not be around known former felon. Unfortunately for the friend who just got out of jail was arrested by the LAPD because who was seen at the scene of the crime and it broke his probation.

There is word that whoever killed Nipsey is a marked man and that he better hope he is in solitary confinement..people want revenge for Nipsey’s death in the pen.

First time I heard his name is after he died so I’m not the one to talk honestly but it just seems sad that a guy who seems to be a pillar of the community feels the need to ever post something like that on Instagram. That’s my only reference to the guy so my view is definitely slanted

Yeah I'm not going to pretend to be some expert on the man--like I said, the only reason I even knew of him before his murder was because his stage name apes Russell's (kudos to hussle on the marketing on that point ).

From cursory research (which is all I'll probably ever do), it seems like he was a mixed bag who was trending in the right direction. The martyrdom narrative seems a little out of place, as does over the top demonizing of the guy. Senseless, tragic murder that doesn't necessarily need to be tied into some larger narrative, IMHO.

Within context, is it really? Yes, if someone said just that. But within the context of the post, it’s obviously hyperbole. If he really meant trouble he would have actually done it.

I wasn’t trying to demonize the guy more just point to the fact that the majority of the young black community acts like this is the BEST the community has to offer

How is it obviously hyperbole? It had nothing to do with the context of someone asking you to please put in headphones if your going to listen to loud music on an airplane which is a pretty reasonable request I think

We also don't know whether that's actually what happened, or if anything happened at all. All we have is Hussle's account.
