You mean like how he was working with the LAPD to help stem the tide of gang violence in south LA?

ETA: I honestly hope you don’t teach a subject like history or science, those poor kids.

Let's watch that broad brush you're painting with, ol' sport.

I has heard of him and knew his name, but not his work (musical or otherwise) . Really only reason his name stuck in my head was that it was a spin off of Nipsey Russell.

Go look at his Instagram. He said he would beat up white people just because of slavery. And those are the type of thoughts he put out for everyone to see. Imagine what he was telling the urban youths behind closed doors

Things like:
Stop buying jewlery and sports cars, invest in real estate.
Stop blowing money at the strip club, buy a strip club.

Things like this.

This thread is funny to me not for anything to do with Nipsey but because I always get you two HogFanfromHTown and Hawgnsincebirth55 confused and now you're arguing different sides.

I'm just saying, say that

Most black people younger than me (30) probably know of him well. Most older than me (aka the majority of black adults) probably barely know who he was or will assume you're talking about Nipsey Russell. Not all blacks (especially older blacks) are in tune with the music scene.

ETA: Pardon the pun

I don't know who he is. But I was a fan of Nipsey Russell. When was on the match game he plugged his Los Vegas shows. When Gene Rayburn asked if he gambled Nipsey said "The only way to double your money in Vegas is to fold it in half and stick it back in your wallet.'

I have a friend who works with the FCA at the University Kentucky and every summer, he and his family go to LA to do mission work at USC/and skid row. He knew and was close to Nipsey, and said he was the real deal and did everything in his power to improve the neighborhood by employing and bringing everyone together. Said Nipsey was responsible of getting kids off the streets, out of gangs, etc. claimed this was a big loss for the community and it was senseless how he was murdered.

Maybe some of these woke people in this thread can tell me why the majority of young black people have this weird idea that there’s a conspiracy but all white people to kill them and keep them down? And also why every major religious figure was actually black? (Again tbird I know you don’t believe this )

You won’t, I don’t think there’s a rapper with a more positive Instagram feed. He was all about motivating the disadvantaged.

Probably referring to this one.

Not Mr. Hussle's finest hour, it would seem.

That’s the one tbird

ETA: I don’t know a damn thing about this guy. First time I heard his name is after he died so I’m not the one to talk honestly but it just seems sad that a guy who seems to be a pillar of the community feels the need to ever post something like that on Instagram. That’s my only reference to the guy so my view is definitely slanted

That’s not a serious post, he’s talking about a man who invaded his personal space on a plane. He didn’t “advocate beating up white people because of slavery.” It was literally him trying to embarrass that “poindexter” guy by using his large platform. Is it the best thing he’s ever done? No. Is it proof that he’s a racist who preached violence against white people? Also no.

Anyone of any race that tapped him on the shoulder at that time and the proceeded to give him an order would have been embarrassed on social media/verbally. Celebrities do it all the time. If the guy came at him more respectfully this post is never made.
