Facing the gravest threat to American sovereignty and the values that made her the greatest nation the world has ever seen, why can't Republicans unite?

*Economic recession
*Porous border
*Failing morals
*Soaring debt
*Out of control bureaucracy

Yet the supposed opposition party bickers with each other instead of focusing on the threat. Rome is burning while Pubs fiddle.

Because most of them are actually Democrats pretending to be Republicans.

Because their leadership are establishment, elitist, globalist.

They have no problem with Democrats in charge instead of any populist movement.

Anyone that sees what's currently going on as just another round of Dems vs Reps, conservatives vs liberals, left vs right is outdated in their thinking.

This is about the elitist, globalist ruling class vs the nationalist, populist, working class.

Because the party has absolutely zero leadership.

Because of the widespread phenomenon of people thinking they’re experts in every possible subject when in reality they know very little useful info, and the other glaring phenomenon of people having no concept of “opinion” and its many relevant intricacies.

Just my opinion.

There are also people who believe the drama goes away with Trump.

Two reasons.

1. The base has abandoned conservative principles in favor of populism.

2. The base believes in every dumb-arse conspiracy theory any Tucker Carlson-like idiot dangles in front of them.

#2 is the fault of the Leftist Propaganda Triad. The media, academia, and the entertainment industry. The Republican base has been gaslighted so consistently for so long by them and their spin and their lies that I understand completely losing trust in mainstream sources. I understand buying into idiotic conspiracy theories a bit less.

#1 is all on the base, however.

Gtfo. We were told 10 years ago that we weren’t winning because we refused to shed puritan social conservative values and appeal to voters of color.

The party as it is may not be worth saving. Nikki Hailey, Mitch McConnell, and company are not worth supporting.

Maybe the base is tired of being told by GOP politicians that if we would just vote to put them in power, they would start fixing problems. They had their chances for the first 2 years of Trump to fix health care, reform taxes and secure the border. Yet the leadership did everything they could to stall and undermine the administration because Trump was not in their club.

frick the GOP leadership.

The GOP has the House now. What have they really done besides cave to the other side?

It's not the base that ditched conservatism. It's the GOP leadership that have done that. It's a huge reason why Trump has gained so much support over the years. He capitalized on and exposed GOP leadership.

By hiring Bolton, Milley, etc.

How is that exposing them when he hired a bunch of them?

Republicans prefer saying they are against something yet they never come up with an alternative.

In Trump's first 2 years, he had the House and the Senate. The big thing was to replace Obamacare but they had nothing to replace it with, basically said just repeal it first and GOP will come up with something to replace it and you will love it. Trump even said to expect a great plan in 2 weeks. Never happened.

Infrastructure needs, nothing major happened with Trump. Biden comes in with Pelosi as speaker and Democrats pass a huge infrastructure bill. Funny thing happens, GOP congressmen who voted against it start telling their people in their districts "Look what I got for you."

Democrats lose control of House, GOP unable to even elect a speaker. Face it, GOP prefers getting contributions just because they like to say no. Yet when it comes to creating something that might work, they simply are unable to do it. They are truly the party of NO.

He has trusted too many people he shouldn't trust. He says he learned his lesson. Maybe we'll see.

Trump's rise has shown what snakes people like Ryan, McConnell, McCain, Cheney, the Bushes, the Lincoln Project, Graham, etc really are. Watching how they reacted to Trump and the movement exposed them to me.

7 years ago I bought into their bullshite that the problem was Democrats. No. The problem is the ruling class and deep state in the leadership of both parties.

He tried to operate a big tent. He thought he could somewhat unite the factions within the party, while pulling in private sector leaders from outside of DC in. It seemed to work early on.

Where he fricked up was thinking that the GOPe would stand with him once the Dems drew first blood. Instead they stabbed him in the back.

If he makes that mistake again, he deserves his fate.
