How about we get our troops out of these shiteholes? We don't have some god-given right to park our military all over the planet, then lash out when locals take shots at them.

We could but that will also effect countries we are friendly with so it's a more delicate a situation targeting their oil then you may realize.

Biden wants Iranian oil on the global market. It keeps the global price down so he can kill domestic production at home to satisfy the climate wing of the Democrat Party. He doesn't have to pay a higher cost politically over energy prices since he is running for reelection and he can tell the climate activists he is doing something about climate change.
