Well, even if no martial law is declared, can you trust that dims will allow anyone who they consider a terrorist to have access to food? What about protest and the supply lines being shut down? You're aware that the national debt is out of control and there's no way that will ever be paid back. How long until that house of cards collapses? Don't forget natural disasters. You should always be prepared to take care of yourself if the government can't or won't.

I shop every day. The only rare item now is quality toilet paper in the 4-pack. You can buy the cheap stuff but you'll regret it. You can buy the giant packs if you have storage space (I don't).
The good news: You can now buy a can of Lysol spray. It was nowhere for 7 months.
Re: food...I don't do 'stocking up' because canned goods are full of salt. If it says 'lower salt' don't be fooled. I noticed that canned water chestnuts list 'none' on sodium on the nutrition label. This is false. But it's imported from China so they can lie.

We have a president coming in that wants to lock us down . Also some Americans have shown they are not very happy with the way things are going in this country. It’s good to stock up on food and ammo anytime but right now for sure.

I'm saying this only because I noticed it early this morning. Usually on a Monday morning stores are stocked up and the cans and boxes of food are "fronted" really neatly. This morning at Macs the isles were more than half empty and not fronted at all. I asked if they were having problems getting stock in. they said no.
