That is 100% NOT why we have ethanol in our gasoline.

Sure, the corn industry certainly is what is driving the continued use of ethanol. However, to deny that those two legacy chemicals are not part of the story is disingenuous.

If you don’t like ethanol, stop buying it.

Get the Pure Gas app and find 100% gasoline stations around you.

Corn lobby is huge. No joke. That's why ethanol is in gasoline and high fructose corn syrup is in everything.

The crap kills an internal combustion engine….Don't ever run that stuff in any small engine. If you want it to last more than a couple of years.

So much misinformation. I’ve got lawn equipment 40 years old that I use with nothing but ethanol gas. Still going strong. If you take care of it.

Sure, let it sit up and not winterize it you will gum up your carb. If someone is tossing out a weedeater/blower it’s most likely a gummed up carb from not being stored correctly. It’s $20 and easy to install.

I’m not a pro or con ethanol guy. Just some facts. It doesn’t kill engines. Just another idiot that can’t take care of or fix his shite.

Consumer Reports seems to differ with your opinion

Dumb article to link.

Maybes, coulds, potentially. All garbage words and not facts.

Then it goes on to list how to protect your equipment. Just like I said you need to do.

Ethanol is the anti-knock agent of choice. It replaced MTBE

Ahh…MTBE a good ole a government mandate that was poisoning us in our drinking water. It dissolves easily in water and doesn’t breakdown easily.

I clicked on two random ones.

One was trying to sell a product.

The other said the exact same thing as your link in the other post.

It’s true you can’t let it sit like non-ethanol gas. But if you take care if your shite and properly store you equipment, it’s harmless. Just like what I said.

We can produce far more food than people can eat. That's not the issue. It's making it worthwhile for farmers to produce and sell a product.

Ethanol has its pros it brings up the octane rating of fuel and has higher knock resistance.

There’s a reason I run E98 in mine. I make more power.

Like another poster said there’s nothing wrong with ethanol in fuel that doesn’t sit for extended periods and on fuel systems designed for it.

I run ethanol in my daily, high content ethanol in the weekender and ethanol free in the ranch taco. It just depends on what they’re used for.

30 millions acres of land is use to grow corn which is turned into ethanol. Its way to keep the price of corn higher? Keep meat prices higher? Bill Gates wants you eating bugs.

know the car corn is different... but it will never cease to amaze me that as long as there are starving, hungry or food insecure people in our country and across the globe- people we subsidize, be they here or abroad... that we are feeding corn to our dadgum automobiles.

Food supply is not the issue with people being hungry.
