You do realize that they are working on this along with 100 other things right?
Some of you people just think that they can snap their finger and instantly get shite pushed through courts, make arrests, indict people, etc etc etc - Even at the speed of Trump, things take a little time

Right.
People mad some gang members not getting some due process but also not moving fast enough.

There are multiple reasons but small majorities are another. If you have a small faction in the House that, say, are deficit hawks, they might not vote for even a Trump-approved budget if it’s another deficit buster. And in the Senate, most bills need 60 to avoid the filibuster.

the dems in the senate would just filibuster it all, win the EOs in the courts then use that to pressure some dems

Probably because they are busy getting spending bills together for the next budget?????? Surely, Dems will be attempting to slow the process down and hoping for another CR. Probably some rinos will also.

A bunch of fricking losers that prefer to be the Washington generals instead of winning. They want their trough restored. They are hoping to lose and have JD 48 lose.

Yep, both sides say that we comprehensive immigration reform, comprehensive healthcare reform, comprehensive election reform, on and on.
Yet not a damn thing when they have the power to do it.
Might rock the boat and lose their gravy train.
Lazy and cowardice.

The filibuster. What bill will pull 7 Dems?
Posted on 4/1/25 at 7:15 am to Dulacrat
Because they are pissed that DOGE cut off, or will cut off, their gravy train too!

It amazes me that the left has the exact opposite opinion: Republicans are the expert politicians and Democrats are little babies.
The horseshoe principle at work.

If you haven't realized by now that Republicunts are just controlled opposition, I don't know what to tell you.
They are robbing you too.

I loathe democrats, but they know how to play the game. Republicans are playing Tball while the dems are playing major league.
I thought they had the same problem under Biden with manchin and sinema ?

eta - here's the combined congressional calendar -

House & Senate in session together for 37 total days through 3/31 - Senate for 54 total -

As of April 1, 2025, Congress has been in session for approximately 40 legislative days. The House typically works about two days a week, while the Senate has a slightly higher frequency of sessions.

I believe you’re right, between confirmation hearings then the budget stuff, it’s kinda kept them busy. Then add in working on “the big beautiful bill” and that’s their 1st 2 months. We are just used to the break neck speed of Trump, Congress moves slower by design so the bills have to be more thorough.
I’m not taking up for them as we really haven’t seen anything about bills yet but it doesn’t mean they haven’t been working on them. Let’s revisit by end of summer is all I’m saying. We better have some bills done by then.

The GOP has the smallest House margin since 1931. They have 219 seats and it requires 218 to pass legislation.
And Massie is an automatic No on anything supported by Trump. Hell, Massie was the only GOP to vote No on Johnson. Because of Massie, we nearly had Speaker Hakeem.
The GOP can't get any legislation to move because of Massie and a handful of his GOP Never Trumpers. Forcing Johnson to have to negotiate with Schumer to pass anything.
