Why? Are they taking money away from other people?

That's not an issue with Bezos. That's an issue with our elected representatives being bought...err...I mean lobbied.

And you know who allows them to be bought? You and I, the American voter. Because we keep voting for them.

because wages have been stagnant for 25+ years and the middle class/working class has been burdened with the stress of it for too long to be ignored.

Is wealth finite? Does he have to release a million for anyone else to have it?

See you fall in the same leftist trap. It’s not that you want to gain wealth. You sit and sulk at people that have it. Like it can’t be obtained because someone else owns it.

Take a damn step back and see how they became wealthy. Then follow the map. “Oh but I can’t!!” No.. you can. Leftists just want it next year and not 20 years from now.

I mean, you can stay jealous if you want? Doesn’t affect me. It only affects you. I’m perfectly fine accepting the fact that, while I’m pretty well off and certainly better than the majority of the worlds population, there are plenty that have more than me.

I'm not sulking, I just bought a jeep last year, and now my first house in December.

The President isn't the issue. And the power creep of the Executive branch is solely due to Congress being lazy because....yet again....we the people don't hold our Reps and Senators accountable and instead focus on the bright and shiny boogey-man that is POTUS.

So why are you so jealous of what someone you have never and will never meet has? Seems like you have a lot to be happy about.

Point me to an example of a successful socialist nation that didn’t end in poverty, authoritarianism, and civil unrest.

take a guess how many americans have a wealth over 5 billion? AKA the number of individual people that would be effected if we capped personal wealth at 5 billion

I, quite literally, don’t care. There could be 5, there could be 5000. Makes zero difference to me. What they have is of no importance to me.

Why is what they have important to you?

Why 5 billion? Why not 100 million?

You do realize that Jeff Bezos doesn't have that money sitting in a bank or offshore account don't you? The vast majority is tied up in his ownership % in a company that he started.

What would you do? Have the government start confiscating shares of Amazon? That's a slippery slope indeed.

There is a lack of understanding with the socialist crowd about power.

Socialism is about power. The left knows they “educated” are really too stupid to understand this is about a power grab.

They sell these dumbasses on fairness and take your freedom in the process.

In our current system, money is power. Under socialism, food and resources are power.

You really want AOC controlling ANYTHING in your life?

you're completely right about the TDS angle, both the people who absolutely love him and the ones who absolutely hate him vastly overestimate his power and impact. it's a system issue

my argument would be that I would rather have someone I like and trust in the white house, or any other position, than someone I dislike and distrust.

I'm not naive enough to believe that brother bernard is going to flip the whole system on its head overnight. he, like another famous jew, would probably have to wander around in the desert and die before he even got to sniff the promised land

but that's ok

Why does this matter? Again, do you think by having 5 billion you keep someone else from having as much wealth as they're capable of amassing?

quote:

AKA the number of individual people that would be effected if we capped personal wealth at 5 billion

And what effect do you think capping wealth at 5 billion is going to have?
