Here, I will help:

D = Sqrt( (R+h)^2-R^2) =sqrt(2Rh+h^2)

That's the equation.

If you are 400meters elevation, for instance, you would be able to see about 50km.

That isn't even accounting for being able to see buildings and their height.

I’ll pay for both of our flights to Washington rock. We can go to your exact spot.

When we don’t see shite, I get to kick you square in the nuts and you have to pay me back twice the cost of the trip.

If you are right, you get a free trip.

If you are wrong, you get kicked in the balls and have to pay double. Which, after all, shouldn’t be a big deal since you are a day trader and all.

Deal?

How would light be bouncing off of the moons surface if the moon and sun are on the same plane?

In the flat earth model there is no reflection. What inwas saying is that moonlight is distinguishably different than sunlight. Therefore if moonlight is merely reflected sunlight, as is reported, then perhaps the moon's surface changes the sunlight in some way when it is reflected off the surface.

So how do we see the moon at night? It doesn’t give off its own light.

But you just said there is no reflection in flat earth… which is it?

You’re telling us that with your naked eye you were able to see distinguishable building from 70 miles away?

That’s not even a flat or round earth thing.

It's only a deal if the terms are the same. If you're wrong, I kick you in the balls.
But you're so sure, there's nothing to worry about. You're balls or safe, right??

Absolutely.
I’ll let you cut my balls off. How bout that?

You, 100%, without a shadow of a doubt, did not see Philly with your own eyes from that distance.

Book your flight. I’ll book mine once you have selected the dates.

I'm saying you can see a skyline that can only be Philly. There are no skyscrapers between Washington Rock State Park and Philadelphia in a straight line.

There are pictures online of this shite. There are videos, but if you hate your nuts that much, the summer time is the best time to hike in New Jersey and have clear skies.

Trenton NJ is directly between them.

Did you see and make out distinguishable skyline from 70 miles away?

You should definitely be able to see some of the NYC skyline from the Rock.

Philly seems extremely doubtful but I'd have to do the math on the elevation and the tallest buildings in Philly. Trenton is also in between the two so that would complicate it a great deal.

Light dissipates through the atmosphere. Eye sight is limited. Telescopes are limited.

The index of refraction for air isn't a sufficient enough explanation for this though.

You believe that the only reason we stop seeing shite is because it bends around the curvature of the earth???

At sea level, a six-foot man should only be a around 3 to 3.5 miles away. Atmospheric refraction and the curvature of the Earth are two distinct variables in any optic equation.
