Yeah, taking land from people who knew how to farm and giving it to people who did not wasn't a great idea. Turns out there's more to farming than putting a seed in the ground.

the colder the area, the more you have to be creative to survive. if it's too cold, e.g. siberia, alaska, etc. then you just spend all your time trying to survive and don't give a shite about making anything. it's a pretty simple concept

Uh... South Africa is the furthest spot on that continent from the equator. His South reference only applied to the northern hemisphere as he explained.
This does seem to hold true, even in a single country.
The Aryan portions of Central and Northern India are much better than the Southern Dravidian regions.

It's due to Darwinism. The farther north you go the harsher the climate. Centuries or Millenia ago, these climates weeded out the weak and stupid from groups that migrated north. Leaving only the strong and innovative that survived. Tropical climates do not weed out as many, so it waters down the society in those areas.
This is why even white society is progressively getting dumber as a whole. It's the reverse effect. With technology created the weak are no longer weeded out of society, and we take care of them. So over time the population grows and eventually outnumbers the gifted ones. It's why ancient societies like the Spartans weeded out intentionally these people. I'm not saying that's what we should do, but it's why things are how they are.

Do you mean the portions of India that speak indo-Aryan based language vs Dravidian languages?
Also generally the southern and western (which speak indo-aryan language)portion of India are more developed than the northern states and are r seen by most Indians in similar light as the southern states here.

Australia and South Africa are both the result of European influence. Take everyone of direct Western European descent out and then take a look.
To answer the OPs question, colder weather with harsher living conditions required those populations to develop unique and different skills to survive. You don't need to worry about building insulated structures when it's 75+ degrees year round.
