If you look at a map, the farther north you go, the more prosperous, advanced and educated people are. These more prosperous and successful civilizations correlate with a northern latitude. It's always been this way throughout human history. It's not just Europe, but the same principle holds in Asia too (with Japan/Korea being above, say, Indonesia or Cambodia).

Why is it that the closer to the equator you go, the more primitive, ignorant and less advanced people are? Why is it that the Australian Aboriginees were still living (literally) in the stone age when the British arrived? No writing, no math, no literature, no buildings, no wheel, no weaving, no technology beyond basic stone craft. The same can be said of sub-Saharan Africa, the Pacific Islands, and most of the Americas. People live there like they did 10,000 years ago.

I'm just wondering why this is. Any theories?

How is this true? Look at South Africa compared to the rest of Africa and then Australia and New Zealand. C'mon man.

Does the same principle apply for Southern states in the US?

India, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Egypt, Mexico are all Northern countries being in the Northern Hemisphere. So I think your theory is nonsense

Looking past the beach vacation, life in the tropics is pretty hard on humanity. Think of all the mosquito borne diseases running rampant along the equator. Now add to that periods of drought, torrential rain, and cyclones.

There's actually a academic answer to this question but I forgot what it entailed

Something about the types of soil and agriculture

Well, white Southerners are poorer, less educated, and more backward compare to to Northern whites.

Yep, pretty hard to debate.

Your premise is a little flawed, but if you're asking the question honestly, I'd refer you to Jared Diamond's Guns, Germs, and Steel. Amazon

America hasn't been here long enough to make any firm distinctions beyond the Civil War, the burning of the South, and reconstruction.

My understanding is that the ice age forced colder countries to develop skills quicker which sped up the development in those areas

low hanging fruit versus dealing with sub freezing living conditions and only eating once every few days over the course of 10s of thousands of years.

It's all about arable land, good natural harbors, and navigable rivers. Food and trade. Why do you think America is such a superpower?

South and Central America appeared to be more advanced than North America before the European invasion. Kinda kills your theory.

No its actually really easy to debate. Poorer only if you look at per capita income but if you adjust for cost of living southern whites have a higher standard of living and are thus richer than yankee whites. Less educated, well considering the state of government schools here in America you'd have to consider being less educated a plus. Backwards, well yankees are the ones who bought into the global anti-white socialist homo agenda.
