Yea, no. It absolutely changes whether I trust Trump or not.

Just release them and this all goes away.

The OP is precisely why this board can’t let it go. You have been led to believe that very powerful people are implicated in the Epstein files so anything short of mass arrests is a betrayal. I would LOVE to see the Clintons and others taken down but no serious person ever believes that will happen. The obsession over it is nonsensical

That's all well and good... so long as the illegitimate Biden-Harris regime didn't booby trap the files with false information the same way they did the #MuhRussia fabrications.

I do believe that Epstein presents a credibility problem for the administration but it's one tree in the forest and unlike some, I'm not willing to throw the baby out with the bathwater. No matter how bad Trump and Co has fumbled the Epstein issue, the Dems being in power is infinitely worse. Trump's election saved this country and he is doing great work on many fronts. So like dawg said, stay focused.

I get what you’re saying, but Trump was able to convince a lot of people he was different based on this issue. He aligned with Dan Bongino, Kash Patel, etc who were considered fringe. He had a charisma that JD Vance and other republicans don’t.

If Trump is no different than the democrats a lot of people will just stay home in future elections.

This is a disaster for Trump and republicans from a momentum standpoint.

Couldn't tell you. I'm in a "wait and see" posture on this. I truly cannot understand why the Trump admin, and Trump himself, is seemingly taking the position that we should move on from this. Nothing about this story the past week makes any sense to me.

That said, we're still only 6 months into his presidency, and they've been killing it on basically every other front, so I'm hoping I'm just missing something here and more comes out at some point.

They're in denial because the reality is too painful.

The only thing that makes me think they might be on the level with these statements is that Dan Bongino and Kash Patel haven't resigned. Dan Bongino has been especially vocal about Epstein. I find it hard to believe he'd just quietly let them sweep it under the rug.

MAGA people will still vote for issues they care about.

What this clearly exposes clear as day is that Trump isn't some "rebel swamp drainer" but another show pony for the elite shareholders in the world's biggest corporations, just like about every other high level politician.

His die-hard supporters will begin floating all kinds of oddball conspiracies to cast doubt.

However, aside from his absolute worshippers, few will not just see that digging into the Epstein stuff is not even "political" in a D vs R manner since it would just expose too many rich folks that funded Trump just like they do all the other politicians.

It's not like a majority of republicans already didn't see through his "for the common people" charade years ago -- I mean the guy became famous in the first place as an elite playboy who flaunted his team of rich lawyers to wriggle extra work and money out of contractors/employees. They just wanted certain of his policies enacted.

Only the biggest idiots and morons complain.

We had Biden for 4 yrs. Left wing retards had every reason to spill it and they didnt because there is nothing much less a list. Now Trump is in office , he is on the made up list now and the DOJ is hiding it

FTR: TDS is incurable.

Or tinfoil hat wearing Q folks. From their PC they know more than 5 presidential administrations, the FBI and CIA over 3 different presidents all who would love to embarrass the other side. Yet somehow nothing substantial has leaked other than Prince Andrew which ended with Maxwell in prison and Epstein dead.

A conspiracy spanning two decades, 3 Presidents and thousands of people makes more sense to them than a billionaire paid whores to frick his friends. I'm willing to admit something might have gone on besides that but one theory is far more plausible than 1000s of people covering up something huge without any substantial leaks in the internet age and everyone with a cell phone camera.

I get that it seems this way. Maybe they got into office (5 months ago) and discovered the intel wasn't credible or was outright fabricated. It's not like the Biden intel community was honest. I agree that we should keep up the pressure for disclosure (that would be my argument against Trump) but maybe we were all duped. Maybe Trump is flat out lying about it. Since we really don't know what Epstein information the government has or doesn’t have, I'm willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt. It seems illogical and nonsensical to burn down the MAGA movement overEpstein when we really don't know what we don't know.

What momentum is needed? He has already done more in 6 months than the previous four year term and that isn't an exaggeration. It took him an entire year to get a tax plan passed in 2017 and republicans were only willing to give him a limited wall budget. He could play golf for the next 3.5 years and I would be thrilled.

First because he already has done what I wanted him to do. He has sicked Homan on illegals with a HUGE budget and he has passed a tax cut and extended the 2017 cuts. Done and done. Anything else is gravy.

I tend to lean towards being happy when NO legislation is passed because every side gets too much pork in every single bill.

Tariffs on the countries who have bilked the US with tariffs for 60 years is just the cherry on top of the happiness Ice Cream Sundae for me.

I don't give a single shite about Epstein. Epstein is dead and Maxwell is in jail. Done and done.

You should care about the people who are being protected. Trump is compromised. That is obvious.
