quote:

Unemployment hits 14.7%

Dow jumps 300+ points.

Wall St. talking out loud when it should whispering.

quote:

We just received the worst unemployment numbers in American history and the Dow is up 300 points. I am not a conspiracy theorist but this is beginning to look like massive market manipulation. Wall Street is not this clueless, something is not right here.

quote:

The Dow Jones opened 300 points higher.

We lost 20M jobs last month.

When the markets no longer reflect reality, you are playing Monopoly.

I, for one, think it's time to put down Monopoly, and start playing Life.

Just some examples

The job losses are bad enough, why do some people seemingly want the market to go down with it?

Why not be glad that people’s retirement accounts are looking stable and clawing back at the losses?

50%+ of Americans own stock. Why not be happy that it’s not collapsing?

Because they are liberal filth.

It’s hard to put communism in place of the market rises which will lead to more jobs again.

Obviously the left wing wants the economy to be as bad as possible because they think it gives them a chance in the election. The fact that a bad economy brings real life pain to numerous citizens doesn't mean a damn thing to them, not even for the people who vote for them

Well Mr. Country Club, let me break it down for you.

People on Main Street are anxious and struggling to afford their living expenses and worried about reports of potential food shortages and they see another green day for the stock market and see that "we're not in this together" no matter how many times they see a commercial saying that we are

I bet they were equally outraged at the Fed's manipulation of the money supply via quantitative easing during the obama years.

Well those people aren’t very smart. You clearly have a much better chance of getting a job in a rising economy than a crashing one no matter if it’s a white collar or blue collar job.

Also the more jobs, the more people have money and then can spend on Main Street.

Which by the way the liberal new normal is designed to kill Main Street and small business.

I think as bad as 14.7% is, Wall Street was expecting 20%+. 14.7% is good news (Relatively)

Main Street should be happy that their 401k is growing.

The market movement on a day to day basis is not necessarily reflecting that days news. The drop in the Dow at the beginning of this was likely an over-reaction or they were expecting 30 million lost jobs in the near term over it (or some other higher number). The rising Dow right now says the investors are gaining confidence that we are coming out of this BS.

The fact that democrats can’t understand the basics of the markets shouts out they haves no business leading this country.

The rich, the powers behind the curtain won't allow the market to collapse. Not for our sake, but for theirs. But they need us. We are their sheep and cattle that allow their lives to exist. That's the true reality of the market.

The crisis will be harder to exploit unless it's as bad as possible.

People can’t understand that maybe THEY are the clueless ones. Not Wallstreet, who apparently is seeing a light at the end of the tunnel

Not sure if you are being facetious, but why are starving people on Main Street worrying about a green day for the stock market?

The Job numbers are not unexpected and there are thoughts that many areas of the country are opening cautiously.

The worst may be over till the fall.

Here is to hoping for the moderna vaccine that NC tigah was talking about!
