Oversloppage of Boston liberals who have moved out of Massachusetts and commute.

Never had hardship. Put illegals there and it will change. Not that anyone wants that.

There’s a book, “Albion’s Seed”, that provides a basis for the voting patterns we see today, in 4 groups that immigrated from the UK and settled different parts of the early US.
Each of the groups had a unique set of characteristics that the author believes determines their political stances today, and it’s a pretty strong argument.

Full of sheltered white people who don't understand how reality works.

New Hampshire is pretty conservative. Guessing they have high quality fraud game. You always hear about people getting bussed into NH to vote.

Vermont is a completely another story, there's zero conservatism there, maybe someone could explain why
I found one of the few Vermont Conservatives.
He was in the army with me… Dad was a farmer & Polish decent.
I think his strong Polish roots certainly helped him. He was MAGA

Portland is the only reason Maine is blue. Interestingly enough we spent a week up there about 3 years ago, we counted more BLM signs than we did BLs, they don't have a clue what it means to be around the culture regularly.

NH has no sales tax as well.

They don't live in the same world that most of us live in.

Well yea. Portland metro is upwards of 1/3rd of the population of the state. Maine is far from the only state dominated by a single metro.

It’s easier to be communist when everyone is just like you.

They have no idea what the remainder of the United States is like.

Vermont has Burlington which is extremely liberal, along with the capital. The rural areas seemed conservative to me when I visited.

We should ship some of New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Shreveport up to them and maybe they’ll have a change of heart.
Obama thought that Maine was too white, and Portland became the beneficiary of a decent sized surge of Africans/Haitians.
A completely uninteresting fact about me/ME: about a decade ago, in NOLA, I met a couple from Boston. The woman told me that I had a "Maine" accent. This confused the hell out of me as I didn't know that they had an accent. I thought about it for a while and figured that Maine is close to Nova Scotia/Quebec, which obviously have French roots, so maybe that had something to do with it. 10 seconds later it occurred to me that they had been in NOLA for at least a few days, and had certainly met other white folk with French heritage, so I gave up on trying to figure it out. Maybe I was the first non-Yat white that they had run into.
