This is all about NEGOTIATING. The public, especially the media, harps on the first thing out of Trump’s mouth (5% tariffs on Mexico) without even realizing it’s just the starting point in negotiations.

Right but you keep moving the goalposts. China was supposed to be short term too and now it's been a year and a half and we're sending billions and billions to farmers

I certainly think it's pretty STUPID to tax US consumers because some idiot in China or Mexico is taxing their people.

Didn't you learn in kindergarten that doing something just because others do it is a bad idea?

The funny thing is we have made real free trade deals with countries like Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, India, somewhat with the EU and many others. But when we put our foot down for a similar trade deal with China the chicom lobbyists come out of the woodwork. It's amazing to watch.

If anyone wants to know what should be done you just use Germany as an example. After WWI it was gutted and exploited for whatever needs the globalist wanted. NSDAP Germany led the biggest economic turnaround in recorded history from the disaster of Wiemar Germany. There were a lot of reforms that got people working again instead of having to sell their kid to sex tourists to buy food.

Not everyone can be rich or needs to be rich. Just need to restore actual values instead of materialist consumerism.

China keeps raising the bar.

They will lose.

Trade with China is only 3.5% of our annual GDP. It's approximately 10% of their paper tiger GDP. We have the leverage and we can mitigate that 3.5% risk toward other trading partners.

I know the argument.

But I also learned in kindergarten to get new friends. Trump met some new friends and rekindled relationships with old friends, like Vietnam, Philippines, India, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, etc.

Sorry your China buddy doesn't know how to play nice in the sandbox. He should learn the Golden Rule then he should understand what the words reciprocity and theft mean.

The small businesses are going to be the sacrificial lambs. The Koch brothers will thrive regardless of what's happening. That's what you don't get.

Only the ones with current supply chains in China. Other than that they will compete well with multinationals with manufacturing in communists slave labor China.

I mean, this is why they are bellyaching on the message boards, TV and print press.

They don't want the competition from business (including small businesses) with supply chains outside of China.

I just googled it.

To be fair "pizza" is not code word for pedo. pizzatiger literally translates to girltiger.

“hotdog” = boy

“pizza” = girl

“cheese” = little girl

“pasta” = little boy

“ice cream” = male prostitute

“walnut” = person of colour

“map” = semen

“sauce” = orgy

You realize that US firms actually sell shite to the Chinese, right, and they've been hit with reciprocal tariffs? That country with 15% of the world's population. Turns out it's kind of a big market.

Are tariffs really the issue we have with other countries? I mean before the retaliatory tariffs.

I thought it had more to do with IP theft, currency manipulation and other trade practices (like limiting foreign ownership of businesses).

Yeah, the biggest thing with China has always been IP theft and currency manipulation.

You don't seem to realize, given past trends, the asymmetrical trade and operational basis in China was eventually unsustainable for most of those companies.
