are you asserting that over 90% of white southerners vote GOP?

Really?? You have any data to back that up? I'd be surprised if it was over 2/3.

If blacks supported DEM by only a 70/30 margin, DEMs would never win another national election.

That is without importing millions of new dependent voters from other countries.

Tell me then, why first generation AA's feel the weight of "blackness"
And inherit all that comes with it ? Be specific.

It goes both ways.

Why must blacks, ones not even connected to those communities, be responsible/bare the burdens of the color that thsy only share in resemblance, and not blood?

I don't know what percentage of White Southern males voted for Romney, but your 90% figure is irrelevant to my point which is that the majority of White southern males are locksteppers, who wouldn't vote for a Democrat even if a Klansmen were the Republican nominee. Locksteppers are unpersuadable voters. Also, I don't agree with your assertion that 90% of Black folks are locksteppers. The majority of Black folks may be locksteppers, but certainly not 90%, otherwise there would be no instances of Republicans cutting deep into the Black vote(eg. Huckabee, Specter, etc.).

Hey, I think they oughta move 'em right door to YOUR house. AND you could defend them in court. You seem to be a terrorist symphatizer, have at it.

Wow. That's really stupid. White southern males voted for Bill Clinton. White southern males have never voted 95% for any party. Blacks are monolithic to the degree that the term is defined by black voters. Not even gays, Hispanics nor lesbians vote in lock step as much as blacks.

If Obama walked into a kindergarten room and gunned downed 20 children his approval rating among blacks would fall from 90% down to about 80%.

Has anyone asked why whites who don't toe the conservative line are assumed to be filled with white guilt?

The southern white male votes in a bloc as solid as blacks if not more.

Don't you feel just a little bit stupid for posting that kind of whopper? Seriously, are you a professional liar?

I remember someone posted a link on here before that showed white southerners (can't remember if it were just males or not) voted in the 85% range for Romney. Not as bad as blacks for Obama, but still enough to show that white southerners have a pretty solid degree of "groupthink" going for them as well.

That number was based off of a nyt article if I recall correctly. It has been debunked. The numbers were closer to 65-70 percent. Still a big number.

No I don't think so. I just perused CNN election center and they only had exit polling data for 2 "SEC" states (Alabama and Mississippi), but they were 84 and 89% respectively. If anybody has data on some of the other states I'd love to see them, but I'd be shocked if they were that much different (65-70 as you stated) than AL and MS

I get they didn't ask people where they were born is the exit polls.

My neighbor from Pennsylvania isn't a southerner.

Can you name more than 1 in 10 of the white guys you know who would vote for a D for President?

Hell on this board it is probably 1 in 40.

My dad, who was born in the 1930s in Birmingham, Alabama voted for Kennedy (and was called a n***** lover for doing it by some of his acquaintances)

The right Democratic candidate will pull votes from white southerners. I voted for Obama based off of his senate voting record compared to McCains in 2008 (which was a huge reason for my libertarian shift, got fricked by republicans and democrats both) and I am a white southerner
