They have been pro USA but we always screw them, or the world screws them to hurry up a stupid treaty etc. They fought Isis and the Taliban, only asking for arms and that they'd do the dirty work. They simply asked for US help and stayed in our camp.

Why on earth have people allowed the killings of these people to continue? All they want is a home. A piece of property for crying out loud. Nobody cares because few even know who the Kurds are. This is sickening to me.

Because the want to be a separate nation and our allies such as Turkey do not want this because they have many Kurds who live in their country which will follow suit. I don't agree with letting them be killed which the US tries to prevent as much as possible with Turkey.

It is almost like opening Pandora's box. Once you give into one tribes demands they're going to be twelve standing in line behind them demanding the same thing. This will destabilize the middle east even more than what it is now.

Cause Turkey fears that the Turkish Kurds will want independence too and Turkey is a NATO ally.

Newflash... we are actually rather shitty allies, especially in that region. We leave "allies" to get fricked and murdered. I don't even question why some grow up and hate us so much.

Then let Turkey Kurds go home to a place like, well, we gave the Jewish people a home (Israel) so let the kurds have a home.

We asked them in September to hold off on a separatist referendum. Instead we asked they negotiate with the Iraqis with the US mediating. They refused and chose to go their own way. We've not abandoned them, anymore than we've abandoned Iraq.

The Kurds chose poorly.

Uh, we asked them the impossible and you know it. They want their own land and deserve it. You act as if negotiations were going to help them somehow lol. They've been lied to and picked on for a hundred years. Wake up already!!

The U.N. Charter endorses the right of a people's self-determination.

It looks like no member of the U.N. (including the U.S.A) is living up to it.

What a worthless and hypocritical organization.

There is no monolithic "Kurds" that can be supported. Please, don't believe the media's explanation of what the Kurds are and aren't.

Many of them are communists or friendly to communist ideas. Plenty of them are terrorists as well. They fought a civil war in the 90s, and those differences aren't going away any time soon. Kurds= waste of time.

They fought and died for it - we didn't give it to them.

I agree the Kurds deserve a homeland of their own. They have earned it and I wish we would support it, regardless of the fallout.
