Apparently there is no future for the republican party after Trump.

I would love the first female president to be republican. Also the first black president. Bonus for a hardcore conservative black female.

What's is sad is how easy it would be to dominate in a election. If you took trump's message and polished its delivery up and toned down the Twitter crap you ate money. It's a shame trump didn't run when he was younger and was a much better speaker.

Agreed, that’s why I think someone like Desantis or Doucey can polish Trumps message and dominate

You living under a rock?

However, the First never intended to authorise hate or inflammatory speech,

Hate speech doesn’t exist. Inflammatory speech is precisely what is was designed to protect.

and the framers never visualized assault weapons in the hands of civilians, whose sole purpose is to maim and murder others, when they crafted the Second.

The sole purpose of a musket or even going back to a blunderbuss was to maim and murder others.

The GOP has no future. They want to go back to McCain/Romney/Rubio/Haley after Trump is gone. They will find that there is no market for that and lose in 2024...assuming that their lack of action doesn’t cost them 2020 as well.

What the frick are you talking about? Banning guns won't prevent mass shootings. Those assault weapons will just start coming in over the southern border like all the drugs you people want in.

Policy wise I like Ducey and Desantis, but as an objective observer who is aware of the way the other half of the country sees things, they don’t necessarily have “the look”. Ie, they look like tool bags regardless of how they are as leaders. And don’t get me wrong if you put me on a political stage I’d probably look half toolbag myself.
John James and Dan Crenshaw have the policy, the personality, the background, and “the look.”

The dumbest post I've ever seen on this board. I've been posting for 10 fricking years.

And yet they foresaw the toxicity of mob rule by large urban areas so they instituted the Electoral College to avoid that very thing.

Almost half of the Amendments post-Bill of Rights would make the Founders vomit, particularly 16, 17 and the practical application of 14 as it pertains to anchor babies and the de facto invasion of the US via foreign nationals.

What an embarrassing albatross to have hang around your neck as a candidate huh? And we wonder why politics have become so dirty when we accuse someone of being too religious to be president.
