Tom, I'm not on a fixed income like a lot of Amercians are. Those are the folks I am talking about. I'm still working and contributing. You and Barry are some of the stupidest imbecilic morons on here.

One more time since you are so dumb: 46% of Americans don't even have a 401k 53% to 59% of Americans cannot immediately pay for a $1,000 emergency 21% to 32% of Americans have zero emergency savings 14% to 27% of Americans live solely or almost solely on Social Security

Try to keep up Forrest. I have said in this thread several times that people not in the market will not be happy about the inflation rate.

I am specifically addressing your constant whining about inflation, despite you claiming to be enjoying the exponential returns of the market. You then said all of your market gains have been eaten up by “trumpflation.” That would make you one of the worst investors of all time. Just put it in the S&P and enjoy your increased purchasing power. Or hire someone to even out gain the market. Not earning more than inflation is scary dumb. Tell us more about your financial literacy.

Of course we all know why inflation is hurting you…

No, you were specifically talking about your account. Don’t try to spin it.

You're saying a forum that skews heavily towards professionals with college degrees may not be representative of the entire population?

You live in an 800 sqft cuckbox condo. His garage that he parks his car in is likely half the size of your whole living space yet he's the cuck?

I was specifically referring to Ronricks who said all of his massive investments are being eaten up by 3.7% inflation.

I never said this about me. Trumpflation and the Trump Price Hike is eating up a lot of people's money in this country. If it wasn't why does Trump keep 'tweeting' about gasoline, groceries, and a host of other things in desperation? Make it make sense.

Not once have I said this about me. Inflation and the Trump Price Hike is killing your average American right now.

This makes no sense. I can't pull anything out of my retirement accounts without paying capital gains, a penalty, or both on some accounts. I guess I could pull Roth contributions out but why in the hell would I do that? You aren't making any sense. Why would I list all those statistics when none of them apply to me? I'm still working and contributing.

You don’t pay capital gains taxes on retirement accounts.

What is the amount needed to invest to offset the purchasing power lost because of below average inflation rates? Don’t be scared to be specific.

Are you trying to get me to participate in money illusion with you?

It's a % based of household spending, so it will vary.

If household spending is at $75,000 a year during the feds target of 2%, their cost of living goes up by $1,500.

To offset that amount using a 7% inflation adjusted return, which is no guarantee by any stretch, they need to have $21,428.57 invested.

That's just to break even and that's while using numbers that are much kinder than reality.

Less than that and people just have less.

Which is why inflation hurts the poor more than anyone else - and you can't even remotely address that.

Have you heard of a brokerage account Tom?

Which of the below pertain to me. Tell me.

46% of Americans don't even have a 401k
53% to 59% of Americans cannot immediately pay for a $1,000 emergency
21% to 32% of Americans have zero emergency savings
14% to 27% of Americans live solely or almost solely on Social Security
