DeSantis was the exception, not the rule.
And Desantis only won because of Trump's endorsement and MAGA voters. The wishy-washy Republicans are the establishment Republicans. So whoever gets the MAGA vote is likely to be the new governor.
The funny thing is that if a new Desantis-like candidate runs and is endorsed by Trump, you will vote for the wishy-washy Republicans you pretend to not like.

It's weird. He typed that out without realizing he was labeling himself/MAGA as Andrew Gillum voters if not for Trump's endorsement of DeSantis. But then he goes on to suggest that DeSantis supporters are the wishy-washy conservatives.
