I don’t know…but Edwards once landed a helicopter on our football field, came in and gave a speech,
You’d thought the Messiah had walked into the Mandeville Skippers gym.

John McKeithen. Built the Superdome and behind payments to KKK leaders to quell racial violence in Louisiana in the 60's. That took courage and risk taking to keep Louisiana from erupting into more violence and killings.

Not Bobby Jindal. Because Bobby Jindal.

Hmmm...that reminds me of a certain recent POTUS...first letter T...last letter P...and in the middle it's RUM.

Huey Long did give Louisiana paved roads, but the answer is Big John McKeithen from Columbia, Louisiana. Hands down the best.

Not that he was the "best" governor, but the best quote in the history of Louisiana politics comes from Edwin Edwards in his successful 1983 governor's race against Dave Treen: "The only way I can lose this election is if I'm caught in bed with either a dead girl or a live boy."

I thank God everyday I never gave JBE a single vote of mine while so many fools who identify as conservative and/or republican happily swallowed up the conservative Dixiecrat bull shite he was selling.

I think it has to be Huey Long.
He was a socialist, corrupt, and extremely dirty politician.
But he made some serious gains for our state.
He put the state on the tract that lead us to the sorry state we're in now. This is laughable

And increase traffic out of Baton Rouge as well as make shipping costs increase for everyone.

Huey Long's statue and remains on the Capital grounds offends me.
