Business as usual. Why Americans keep putting faith in D.C. figures is mind-boggling.

But MAGA away, fools.

It's really a dark day.

We control White House, House, and Senate and this bill is basically identical to what Obama would have signed if he had control of the House and Senate...

... with the exception that we've added about $500 billion in extra spending (waste) to go to our already grossly overfunded military.

Can't agree you more. America is doomed and we already passed the point of return.

He should start shoveling the Dreamers out in huge volume, now. They didn't act and they're not acting on his wall, so he should just tell ICE, "Vigorously enforce ALL immigration violations."

Then, go after the sanctuaries with the DOJ.

That would at least bolster some of his base.

The military that Trump hid behind to pass the bill.

Gotta love how he also claimed military personnel will be getting their biggest pay bump in over a decade when Obama gave them a bigger raise in 2010.

So when Trump promised he'd be different than other candidates was it said in bad faith or did he just not have a clue what he was promising?

Because people in power have crafted a system where there are only three choices: 1) Vote for Business as usual 2) Move 3) Revolt

Regardless of what happened today, no one is moving. Additionally, no one has the stones, or probably the knowledge, to do #3 effectively and truthfully (whatever the left thinks they are doing, it isn't any sort of real revolution). So people are stuck with #1 by default.

There isn't a single federal politician in the country who cares about the American People. Self-Preservation and self-enrichment via political levers are the only things that matter.
