Who do you think has a better shot at winning? Trump of Desantis?

I like Trump but I think Desantis has a much better shot. He is less polarizing than Trump and the media will go after Trump much harder than before. What say you?

Trump all day every day.

Based on name recognition alone.

Trump / Desantis 2024

Desantis / whoever 2028

Desantis / whoever 2032

This should be the plan imo.

Desantis.

There are some never Trumpers guilty about supporting Biden with the way this is going who would, right now, probably pull the lever for Desantis.

Now, two years from now, will any of those people stick by him? No idea.

DeSantis. You're right, Trump is more polarizing which motivates more "anti-Trump" votes who otherwise wouldn't turn out.

If DeSantis is the guy, the media and dims will try to pull the same tricks but I just don't see them creating the same aura of polarization around DeSantis that Trumps lightning rod persona brings. A candidate will never be more hated by the left than Trump.

Name recognition on Trump is also why Desantis would have an easier time winning

You are correct.

Prepare for massive downvoting for blaspheming the Chosen One.

Whatever we do - not this

Gov of FL is more meaningful than VP

There is no reason to tie Desantis to Trump's brand

They'll absolutely try to taint him in the same way. But so far Desantis has enjoyed fighting with the press, but not in the outright trolling and begging for negative attention manner that Trump does. Trump invites criticism and then has a mixed record in winning those battles. Desantis is ready for it but doesn't seek it, and I think that gives him the better chance.

BS! Trump caught all of the attention of the media and if Desantis is half the man, he will be your next "Polarizing figure" in the media.

Trump added roughly 15 million votes to the GOP. That's not polarizing.

The media will go after any GOP candidate. They labeled Bush a racist etc..

No doubt

But I will say, Trump/Desantis is an unbeatable ticket.

DeSantis has a lot of positives that miss the obvious negatives of Trump.

As soon as DeSantis becomes the nominee, he will be subjected to the same treatment Trump was. Which should give many of the more establishment-type Republicans pause (especially with regards to their views on Trump). But it won’t.

Agreed. There’s zero reason to pigeonhole DeSantis away at the Naval Observatory.

If the cheating is not stopped, neither. Trump won last year, by a lot, but the democrats flat out stole it and got away with it. If uncorrected nothing will change next time
