Obama just did the same shite McCain or Romney would’ve done. This has been a one party government for quite some time now

That was William Henry Harrison.

Benjamin was his grandson. One term between Cleveland administrations.

Trump is the only favorite of mine that’s been in office during my lifetime. Every other president in my lifetime has been a deep state operative. Just been Bush and Clinton and Obama terms

If Trumps administration accomplishes what they’ve set out to do then he’d he the greatest in many decades

I still have Regan behind Washington and ahead of Trump for one reason. Trump is benefiting from almost 20 years of ideology that started with Goldwater that lead to Regan then to Rush Limbaugh, now to Trump. The seeds that Regan planted are sprouting in the population under Trump.

Washington
Lincoln
Madison
Jefferson
Regan
Trump
Eisenhower
T. Roosevelt
Jackson
John Adams

First off, great handle

Second, gonna steal your list but shake up the order:

1). Washington
2). Adams
3). Madison

Reasoning: All three men were needed to get the fledgling USA off the ground and running in a decently stable manner. If any of these men had been killed or otherwise succumbed to death, I am not sure we maintain the same legacy in our leaders. Without the leadership, Constitutional contributions, and political philosophy of the three of them, I doubt America is what it is as a whole today (shady swamp rats aside).

Madison has a legit case for the #2 spot for being a restless workhorse in the founding of our nation. Wrote the Bill of Rights, called the Second Continental Congress, outlined the 2nd Amendment as a way to prevent the need for a standing federal military force... The man was absolutely astounding as a politician/diplomat.

4). Jefferson
5). Jackson
6). Monroe

Reasoning: Jefferson was a major contributor to the Declaration, as you pointed out. Massive philosophical influence and guiding hand to the birth of our nation. Jackson, for all the reasons you listed as well as him being an absolute man's man, being strict with his policies and views while protecting the nation from internal and external dangers. Monroe for the Louisiana Purchase, Manifest Destiny policy, and the addition of Florida and Missouri while normalizing relations with France and working to upend Spanish colonization in the continental US as well as parts of Latin America and South America.

7). FDR
8). Teddy Roosevelt
9). JFK

Reasoning: FDR should be a no-brainer on this list. Three terms, led us through WWII, and built stronger relations with the French, British, and several other nations (frame-working the United Nations). Teddy for his commitment to world peace in the League of Nations, standing up to the "unholy alliance between businesses and politics (boy we could learn a thing or two from him), and his work to build up a nation of patriotic youth for the future. JFK is an easy one. Really don't have to go into detail there.

10). Eisenhower

Reasoning: Forced an end to segregation in schools, created NASA, implemented the Interstate Highway System for both interstate commerce and potential warfighting purposes. Condemned foreign nations for their unjust participations in invasions of nations such as Egypt by the Israelis and allied world powers, and engaged in diplomacy to see them withdraw from such invasions. Also successfully engaged in diplomacy with a tough cookie in Nikita Kruschev.

Could have a few others in there. I heavily favored American governmental philosophy in my list. Probably could move a few around, but this is a harder task than it seems.

Love Reagan but as I get older, he trusted too much.

Same can be said for Trump, and we'll get to see if he does anything about his (yes, HIS) mistakes and course correct in his 2nd term. The problem is, of course, once he's out and can't came back for yet another term, they'll likely come after him again.

He needs to address that.

I can't think of 5 Presidents who are worth a damn.

You’re half right. And I was wrong. I was thinking about William Henry Harrison and typed Benjamin for some reason. William Henry Harrison was the 9th President and was only in office a few weeks before he died. Benjamin was his grandson and the 23rd President.

But, yes, I included him in my list. Remember, it’s a list of my favorite Presidents, not a list of who I’d rank as the best Presidents.

I’m a big fan and student of American history (dual undergrad degrees in English and History) and have always been particularly fascinated by and interested in the period from the Revolution through Westward Expansion and have enjoyed studying and reading about (among many others) the lives of people like George Washington, Robert Rogers, British General John Andre, Daniel Boone, Andrew Jackson, Lewis and Clark, William Weatherford (“Red Eagle”), Tecumseh, and William Henry Harrison who defeated Tecumseh’s confederacy.

Washington the O.G anyone else that lost that many time would have thrown in the towel long ago.

Lincoln, he prevent us from breaking which in turn kept us united enough to defeat the German War machine.

Teddy Rosevelt - Made america a gobal power

Franklin - Had the balls to drop the nuke on Japan and spare a million american soldiers live

Eisenhower - Kept us steady

Kenndy - Took us to the moon

Regen - Defeated the USSR

Trump(2016 edition) - Saved America from pure evil. Lets all admit, at that point in time, everyone knew HIllary was gonna be the president. There was no one to challenge her, Jeb Bush and Ted Cruz was the republican front runner.

As a society, we were all getting the slow boil frog treatment in terms of cultural, and government.

Trump woke us all up. We as a country no long slept walk as we realize from hollywood to our news media was gas lighting us on the daily. Those who had been awake were shouting for us to wake up but we were under too deep. Trump in came in and pulled us out,

With the movement and great awakening Trump started in 2016, we would not have the 2024 election. Even in 2020 when they stole the election, Trump still got 74 million votes, the most of any republican ever and most of those were all walk in unlike Biden's "mail in".

Clinton - Oversaw the greatest decade of prosperity in American history. For once we had a surplus and at one point taxes were lowered by a percent. Chubby chaser or not the man punch the republican neocon in the mouth.
