Rich whites always kept the poor whites and poor blacks at each others throats. Now they goad poor whites to take their country back from blacks and Latinos. Meanwhile the elite control a bigger per cent of the pie as ever. Meet the new boss same as the old boss.

Agreed. The best way to prevent the wealthy elite from being able to buy power is to reduce or eliminate the power that can be bought or to decentralize it to the point that buying it becomes too difficult.
