its enough of a threat that it is worth concern and attention.
it is not a threat worthy of hysteria and panic.

I'll go on record.

We are not prepared -- *edit* to test and track, train and protect hospital staff, set aside sites to handle a surge while protecting continuity of ongoing healthcare services, pharmaceutical shortages from mainland-Chinaa supply chain over the next 3-6 months, language to talk about it for the layman to know what they need at home and how to keep it from spreading.

We will be fine in a year, but in the short term we aren't prepared.

our biggest threat is melting ICE due to SUV's all over the place, specifically soccer mom's are killing our planet

viruses come and go, once ice melts it's over...we're doomed

COVID19 is a global economic disrupter, it's a serious health concern for older folks and people with specific existing health issues but in the long term (1-2 years) I believe COVID19 will be a minor health concern.

With that said I do offer a caveat.....if this virus is determined to be a super mutating strain that has the ability to reinfect people within a short period after the person has recovered we're gonna have our hands full until an effective vaccination is developed.

You ever seen the pivotal and influential motion picture that goes by the name of "Waterworld"? We'll be growing gills.

I’ll do it- check my post history. I said to watch Italy and Spain back in January (and got down voted for it). Also in January, I was outraged the spots frequented by the first two Southern California cases were kept secret (a decision by our local libtards). I pointed out that no testing does not equal no case and now, unfortunately, I was right. I would’ve preferred ridicule to human suffering. China doesn’t shut down a NY sized city for a flu. If anyone believed these lies, I’ll hope you use the opportunity to go forward in life with a proper amount of intellectual humility (cause you’re, well, dumb).

It could be but not likely. Who knows where this is going. Was the spanish flu a big threat to the USA? They say one thirds of the world population became infected. 50 million died and 650,000 in the USA. If it reached them numbers would it be called a big threat? While medicine dwarfs what was available in 1918, global travel does also. So could you call that a wash? More global travel makes spread of virus more likely and modern medicine cancels that out. IMO the biggest threat is economic and not medical, but only time will tell.

Like... how does your already irrational desire to hate on the president beyond all logic let you just give up all your brain function like this?

My brain's functioning just fine, thanks. I just don't think this Corona virus thing is life threatening to most of us. It seems to be very contagious, which can be frightening, but your chances of recovery are really very good.

So pointing out something that the President said that doesn't fit your agenda is OK for me to do. Suck on it, libtards.

Who on here realizes that the US had 60 million H1N1 cases? And it was effectively eliminated within a year.

Cruises are low. We have one scheduled later in march. We did try to cancel, out of worry of being stuck on a ship for a month missing work and such. Disney said no.
