Damn. You are right. This is considered a “nice” part of Chicago. We stayed at the Robey right across the street from where this happened over the past summer.
I bet she was trying to get to the Damen L stop to catch an early flight out of O’Hare. I can’t believe how quickly our cities are dying.

She could very well be from there and planning on taking a flight somewhere else
I'd lean toward her being from there if she feels safe walking the street at that time in the morning

Possible that she lost her license and had to go home to get online to cancel the flight
ETA - Most logical explanation would be that she just went home. She wouldn't be able to follow through with her travel plans with no money, credit cards, or ID
