I visited SA a month before the Mandela elections. A lot of white SA were fleeing. But a lot stayed buying into Mandela's promises that there would be no retribution or revenge but reconcilliation and togetherness.

I didn't always agree with Mandela's political views, especially those critical of the U.S., but I have to admit, he was a strong leader who kept the racial divisions under control when he was in power.

Unfortunately too many of his followers were just waiting for him to die so that they could steal from their white citizens.

Mandela is a meme. Here is the truth:

He and his wife were thug POS, who had no problem with theft, rape, or murder. They were the smart blacks who knew the issue needed a gentler push than most of their less intelligent black community members were capable of producing.

South africa needed apartheid, and it's been a human disaster since the day it ended. S African society was not built for blacks, and didn't belong to blacks, and the idea that blacks were owed some kind of special consideration in a place built by other peoples is absurd.
