Stay away from the OT. That way you can avoid the claims that Russia lost 300 jets as an example.
I'm talking land. They're on the verge of losing Kherson as a cherry on top before winter.

Ukraine has lost far more than Russia and it’s not close.
In terms of what, exactly? Men? armor?

Well, Biden closed one pipeline a week into his presidency.
Thinking he would sabotage another one isn't a conspiracy theory.

The other question is who would help them, if it came to that.
American taxpayers assemble! No one is in a position to bail out the EU’s commercial gas needs.

If the EU gives up, the EU is done. NATO is done. The entire international community may have to reset. You want chaos? THAT will be chaos
No, I don’t but that’s coincidentally the logic that makes me believe we destroyed Nordstream. A reset of the global order seems to be on the menu, though. Keeping Russia and China separate has been a geopolitical priority for decades yet, here we are. We’re sanctioning Russia into our own demise.
At least we’ll have get spicy NAFO memes on Twitter.

In March Russia was outside of Kyiv. Now Russia is about to lose Kherson
I think they recaptured 8km2 just in September

But like I said, nothing left to rebuild. Ukraine is destined to be a wasteland now.
We will rebuild every outhouse if we need to. We've already committed people who haven't even been born yet to this conflict.

I don't think many disagree that China isn't exactly happy with Russia right now
They've enjoyed the arbitrage to benefit from Russia's disruption of petro markets, but as the market stabilizes and it's clear Russia won't get a quick victory, China is risking standing in the international community (Which is values highly and Russia gives 0 fricks about).

yeah but the cost to the Euro citizens may be too great, these current prices are not stable and could escalate even further
people freezing in the dark are riots in the making

Europe isn't going to be buying Russian gas for a long while, most likely.

I'm just waiting to see the OTs reaction when Ukraine does what it always does and goes full corrupt authoritarian

Secondary sanctions are coming at some point, like with Iran. Going to be much more difficult to be a middle man.

Aid is the only thing keeping Ukraine independent and . Putin is waving around his Nuke button to stop it. Russian young men are fleeing the country not to die in a pointless way. Another mass brain drain like WW2, Putin is dooming his country's future.

Except recent protests in France and other parts of Europe suggest that article may be a bit of propaganda.

The German protests by the anti-Establishment party who would be protesting the government regardless?
You spouted this nonsense yesterday and I corrected you there but you ran off.
So again:
It’s also definitely just those far-right groups that are angry about energy prices in Germany…
quote:
Die Linke (The Left) organized a major demonstration in Leipzig which saw the participation of thousands of people, including activists from the Socialist-Democratic Student Association (SDS) and several other leftist and antifa groups.
The rally was addressed by leftist leaders like Sören Pellmann, Amira Mohamed Ali, Martin Schirdewan, and Gregor Gysi. They called on the Traffic Light coalition government in the country – comprising the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), Free Democratic Party (FDP) and the Alliance 90/The Greens coalition – to ensure that electricity, heating, food, and bus and train transport remain affordable for everyone. Meanwhile, far-right groups including Alternative for Germany (AfD) and Free Saxons also started protests to tap the people’s anger against the government.
LINK
The point I was trying to make is that Germany is experiencing increasing domestic unrest from both sides of the political spectrum because people simply cannot afford basic living expenses. It has zero to do with being pro-Russia or pro-Ukraine.* ALL people will eventually be most concerned with their own self-interest over that of a neighbor.

They sure have an odd way of showing it. They’ve shut the petrodollar out of some of the largest energy transactions in the world and have opened their markets to one another in a boon to both economies. I’m sure Xi is really flustered at Russia for the damage they’re causing to the collective west while they pad China’s pocket book.

OK so 2 poles of opposition groups. Tomato tomato.
Let me know when the real parties start protesting.

After an initial overreaction in early Spring, I was on here posting about how we need to have more cases and overly restrictive lockdowns were being very inefficient. I even made this picture.
My comment was a general one, and I think it’s a fair observation. A shitload of the Ukraine conflict cheerleaders were also Covid cheerleaders.
