Why pay? They have a sympathetic media and threats.

I wouldn’t cross the Clintons and no MSM would give a shite.

Just as the Senate is about to begin President Clinton's impeachment trial in earnest, Mr. Clinton sent $850,000 to Paula Corbin Jones today to settle the sexual misconduct lawsuit that started it all.

Clinton Administration officials said a check for $850,000, the amount agreed to in November to settle the case, was being sent by overnight mail to Ms. Jones and her lawyers. The officials, who asked that their names not be used, said that a little more than half of the money, $475,000, came from an insurance policy against civil liability the President held with Chubb Group Insurance. Most, if not all, of the remainder was withdrawn from a blind trust in the name of Mrs. Clinton, which officials said last year had assets of slightly more than $1 million.

Most payments were before he was president. The Clintons were paying off and ,more importantly, intimidating women many years before he was president.

And all of Trumps's payments were from before he was POTUS.

what's your point?

Yes Bill made payments while President to more than one accuser, still nothing illegal about it.

If so, it didn't work.

If you're dumb enough to be trying to compare the two you obviously have no grasp of the problems with how Trump did it.

Deal with the guy who is president now. You’ve been railing about the past for years.

Should be interesting with the documented attempts to control the narrative while Governor of Arkansas for many years, i.e., effect the outcome of election at both the State and national levels.

Perhaps a detailed examination of having his State Trooper bodyguards deliver said payoffs while taking in illegal Chinese campaign contributions would be a good starting point?

"What difference does it make now, anyway?" I'm serious. That was over 20 years ago.

It's called precedent. When you depose certain people if it ever gets that far you can ask them about it too.

This is pitiful. You can’t just say, “nuh-un, that’s stupid, and you’re stupid if you don’t know why” and think that you’ve made anything resembling an actual point.

The world’s a big fricking place dude, no one understands even close to all of it. If you know something meaningful that distinguishes the two situations that this other poster doesn’t, then share it. Otherwise stfu and go on living your life

The main different in the Clinton case and the Trump case is well known, and the media covered up for Bill on all points.
