The Charade of free and fair elections has to be perpetuated. At this point, after watching the last 20 years of unchecked Democrat power grabs matched by feckless faux opposition, one can only assume the majority of the Republican Party is in on the plan too.

I find that more reprehensible than just being a Democrat. The Republicans who go along for personal gain are the real serpents. At least the Democrats don’t pretend their ideas are bad.

Republican voters have no legit representation.

Either they do nothing.. or they only try to slow Democrats down by letting Democrats have most of what they want, but not all of what they want.

It’s a structural problem. Voters don’t have any real control over who is elected.

Putting side whether it was wise in the first place. The electoral model doesn’t do what the founders intended it to do. The party has more control than the voters.

Voting is not a check on bad behavior, look at Congress and the rampant theft that congressman engage in, and voting doesn’t select for the best in society, it chooses the worst examples of humanity.

They're cowering in the corner afraid the media will call them mean names if they show any resistance to their Democrat masters.

Under their desks sucking their thumbs, the worthless pricks.

I have sent so many emails to Grassley's office he doesn't even send the canned reply. Didn't use expletives but I got across that I think he is as worthless as tits on a chicken.

AFAIK, he did not make any appearances in this state during the break.

This is a lot of it. The oligarchs control the party. The party controls the candidates. And the candidates better do what they say or no money, no committee assignments and primaried.

There are some that point out the obvious like Marjorie Taylor Green but you see what happened to her.

Yeah, I've become convinced the republicans are losing on purpose because they can use being in the minority as an excuse not to do anything about all the bullshite going on. It's pretty obvious they just don't want to.

If you are a loyal, America loving, tax paying, working, law abiding decent citizen you are completely unrepresented now.

Yes, unfortunately.

Locke was wrong, Liberalism doesn't work.

The basic premise is that we have control, because we vote for our leaders. But René Guénon made the logical point, that it cannot be true, because the people can not act on themselves. I realize that sounds like silly academic philosophy, but it's worth thinking through.

The person who is exerting force is in control. So who is imposing force on who?

If you look around, politicians are locking people in their houses, and even terminating their careers.

And there's nothing individuals can do about it.

Liberalism hasn't made us freer, it's actually done the opposite. We are less free than our fathers, and grandfathers. If there's a difference in society, it's just who's in control. We traded the English monarch, for smug merchants and bankers.

Most of them are just worried about scoring Twitter points than actually opposing the administration
