They have the right to protest and we have the right to protest their protest.

Well, Texas coach Tom Herman made a statement the other day, kind of like this: You’ll boo their asses off during the anthem, but cheer like madmen when they score touchdowns.

In case anyone is wondering, it would bother me. The showboating and thuggery for about 15 years has bothered me. But the way I look at it, they are nothing but mercenaries, so that tends to help.

Fixed it for him

I don't watch sports for politics nor do I need to be lectured about race. When this bleeds into college football, and it will, I'll stop watching like I did the NFL and not give it a second thought.

I can’t argue with you. I despise the entitled, pot-bellied, middle-aged Texas fan who boos at the drop of a hat from pure self-entitlement. And that’s a sizable part of the fanbase.

If you knew me personally, you would understand that I’m not like that.

Yea no doubt. I love LSU but not if they participate in this charade.

Will be a rude awakening for the young bucks no doubt when they don’t have the fans backing them up.

I do think however that the stadiums will still be mostly full though. Same with the NFL as viewshio has a short memory.

Absolutely out.

Not like we were going to have a winning season anyway.

I don’t care but I will not kneel. And because I won’t kneel doesn’t mean I’m a racist nor approve of racist.

Holy cow, I never thought about people in the stands kneeling. That would definitely cause tension.

Some are, and after this I believe more will be.

My personal opinion, I don’t care how people protest as long as it’s non violent. It won’t bother me at all. But I’m mildly concerned with how it will affect the bottom dollar. The NFL has taken some financial hits from all of this. I love this game too much and hope it never goes away. Because the kneeling is going to happen. It’s never going away and will only grow from here.

I don't understand why everyone freaks out when they bend the knee to the flag. We bend our knee to the lord in church; we bend our knee to royalty; in empirical countries like Japan and England the greatest form of respect is on bended knee; hell coaches even tell their players to take a knee when they want to tell them something important. I understand that people see it as some form of disrespect, but they claim they are not disrespecting the flag. Why not take their word for it and just assume they just have massive amounts of reverence for old glory that literally knocks them to their knees.

Even if they’re not on the field for the anthem, both teams will probably gather and kneel at midfield for 8 minutes and 45 seconds as a show of solidarity.

If they start dogging it during the game then the fans will walk out. But I don’t see that happening at all.

Head coaches will really earn their pay this season.

That's the kind of attitude that will get you sent to the camps first.
