The difference is they are killers and we are not. We don’t kill innocence people and they will to maintain power. They probably are threatening judges and anyone they can reach through threats.

I think removing the security clearances of former IC people is a bigger deal than people realize. All the leaking and subversion of the elected government starts there and cutting off the information flow to those people is a significant action.

Any entrenched power structure will always retaliate with whatever means available when that power structure is threatened with the removal or diminishment of power. Expect the “beast” to retaliate in unfathomable ways. This “beast” has been nourished and protected longer than most of us have been alive. It has enriched and provided power to thousands and thousands of people. They will do anything to protect it. The fact this is just coming to light now and how pervasive it was is proof of that.

The Pharisees didn’t just kill Jesus because of what he said, they killed him because he was a threat to the power they wielded over the people.

I agree with your point that the people getting their clearances pulled will likely have no problem breaking the law to continue doing what they've been doing, but I don't think it's going to be as easy as it was before, and there will be a trail, one more likely to be followed up on than before. We'll see.

Right, he had influence because he had a security clearance and access to the information, departments, personnel, that were relevant to Raytheon. Remove his clearances and his access to his former department, and then you're left with what? It is, or was, all about access and influence. Look at what happened to donations to the Clinton Foundation when Hillary lost in 2016. It was obvious her political career was over, she was never going to be in a position to influence policy again, and donations dried up immediately. If Trump is successful in revoking these clearances and isolating these people from their former departments, the board seats will be hard to come by.
