I’ve been stashing cash away in a safe, stockpiling ammo, precious metals, food & other necessities for well over a year. Have enough food for my parents and kids for approximately 5 yrs.

Here is what you cosplayers don't understand. It's not about how much ammo you have as much as how much will and leadership charisma you have.
You know how this board reacts to the pathological culture and violence that is increasing after a 30-year decrease? All the comments about values and culture and morality? Those are the types of people you will be facing and they're a lot better at being immoral, violent, and, for lack of a better word, evil.
You're too civilized. I'm too civilized. We're fricked. Unless we have some serial killers who are masking like normal people, pretty much everyone on this board is fricked. You can cosplay how much of a billy badass you are, but you're going to have to kill little kids, likely in close quarter combat. And a lot of them. Defenseless women. Elderly people. People like us aren't built for that.

You're just a little naive about how quickly people will go from being civilized reasonable people to cold stone survivalists. It's like when domesticated animals, like the family dog gets in with a pack of feral strays, that family pet is a wild animal within a few months.

The dollar isn't going anywhere. The U.S. is the world's largest energy producer, 2nd largest food exporter, and our military has the ability to project power worldwide. China's economy is starting to implode and it's only going to get worse due to their demographics. The USMCA is going to be completely self-sufficient and not reliant on global trade to sustain itself. What we'll see is a trade agreement between USMCA, Japan, S. Korea, Australia, NZ, UK, and probably SE Asia (Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, etc.). The U.S. dollar will be the currency for that deal and we won't be concerned with anyone else's currency.

Russia is being paid sanction prices for oil, and then lays on massive transportation costs (which aren’t covered by sanctions). As long as they come under market price the Indians and Chinese keep buying.
They are also doing swaps where they sell oil to countries that don’t care about sanctions and then get paid in diesel fuel (which again isn’t covered by sanctions).
And per that Google search…China has enough gold to cover 0.25% of its monetary supply. In other words, Chinese currency is not backed by gold. Not even close.

How long do you think it would take you to be OK with killing innocent children who did nothing to you and posed no threat to you?

Too late, I already accumulated most of it from 2014-2019. Now I just pick up the occasional interesting piece. That was also about the same time I was stocking up on lead and brass.

The U.S. will probably just fly plains into their buildings again so they can start another war to stop it.
That's what they did to Sadaam Hussein when he tried eliminating the petro dollar for the pound. Then U.S. used Afghanistan and Bush CIA friend Osama to get into Iraq to take Hussein out. You don't mess with the Bush's, Clinton's, Joebama's money funneling business unless you want to be suicided with 2 bullets to the head, zipped up in a suitcase.
