Anyone know? My cardiologist said tons of people were dying from omicron. I told him that was demonstrably false. I asked him to name 3 people. I ended up telling him to get effed after he denied that vaccines had caused cardiac problems for some people, my boss included. I have a rapid heart rate that hangs over 100 90% of the day, so I have some concerns about getting a booster that my hospital employer is forcing (the booster that doesn’t seem to work against omicron)

Am I wrong about all this?

Anyway, I searched out for a new cardiologist that wasn’t under the thumb of a hospital system, which are under the thumb of government. Appointment Monday. Hospitals are taking over practices everywhere so they all have to fall in line

Seriously, wtf is going on. Why is he saying things like this?

Do I have a legitimate concern here with my heart rate? What do doctors here think?

CNN no longer keeps track of deaths. So it must be really low. Like 2

If you are referring to the Texas guy, he didn’t die from omicron. He just had it and died from something else

Explain where I’m wrong downvoter. I want a debate on the merits of this. I actually care about not looking like a fool.

More people have walked on the moon, than have died from Omicron.

Maybe this is better for the OT. Can someone move it over?

I've been wondering this recently aswell. LDH is still reporting deaths, current 7 day avg looks like its 22, but since omicron, there is almost no stories of specific people dying, and I havent personally heard of anyone getting into a serious situation unlike every previous wave. It's kind of weird.

Do you have any MDVip doctors in your area? Large majority of them seem to have left the hospital system because they realized it wasnt about health care anymore, only money.

I haven't seen numbers on Omicron. However I did see something somewhere recently that stated Omicron, unlike Delta, is an upper respiratory infection. It doesn't go down into the lungs. So none of that deadly pneumonia from Omicron. Might want to try a google about differences between omicron and delta.

If you really want to get out from under the thumb of govt look for doctors and holistic wellness clinics that don't take health insurance.

Let me say that I don’t believe you’re wrong to have concerns. Good idea to get a second opinion from another cardiologist. Might ask the original one if people are dying of omicron or with omicron. See what he says.

Well, covid has become a massive problem for the Biden administration, but as luck would have it, it looks like they’re gonna be able to start telling us that omicron et seq is and are no longer deadly. That Joe Biden I tell you, what a lucky fella. That said, of course they will also have you know that the unvaccinated are killing everyone else, sooo…..

Astonishing that people would wonder why there’s extreme skepticism about the veracity of Biden et al’s forthrightness regarding the entire thing, first and foremost their candor in terms of the vaccines.

Deaths usually lag a spike in cases by about 4 weeks and the reporting of deaths are generally 2-3 weeks behind. That means we probably won’t know the death impact from Omicron for 2-4 more weeks.

Your cardiologist might be retarded.
