You don't think they have Asians there?

Just look at the makeup of the GOP delegations in DC. It is a very white party that is very vocally anti-immigration
Dems are majority white, too. For crying out loud, the three odds-on favorites to win the DNC nomination are 2 old white dudes and an old white chick. Not that that should matter one iota. Elect people with the best ideas for their communities, regardless of skin color. This checking of demographic boxes is toxic and has to stop.
Also, GOP is pro-immigration. Legal immigration.

the Democrats have added a lot of diversity to their delegations
I genuinely feel bad for people like you who think like this.
We shouldn’t be voting for people because they “add color”
We should vote for people we agree with.
You should remember what mlk said.

SC had Nikki Haley who was one of the GOP’s first Asian, female governors

As of the 2017 census estimate, the racial make up of the state is 68.5% White (63.8% non-Hispanic white), 27.3% Black or African American, 0.5% American Indian and Alaska Native, 1.7% Asian, 0.1% Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islander, 1.9% from two or more races. 5.7% of the total population was of Hispanic or Latino origin of any race.[32]
It is one of the least Asian states in the country. 1.7%.

so under your logic, an Asian person in South Carolina should have voted gop during Haley years because a gop Governor was Asian?

My point exactly. The GOP is for less legal immigration and Trump has cut immigration numbers
Considering the massive amount of Illegal Immigrants here do we really need more Immigrants of any kind?

There is 1 Asian in the GOP house & senate delegation
So what? Your statement said they all are anti immigration which is bullshite. I’m not talking about the race of them, with which you’re evidently obsessed.
Demographics vote for who they think is for their best interest.

That doesn’t make someone anti immigrant or hate them. Anti immigrant would be gathering up everyone who wasn’t born here and kicking them out.

Yep. It is LITERAL racism to vote for or against a party based on racial composition

Most of the Indians I know in SC did vote for Nikki Haley
Posted on 8/20/19 at 7:08 pm to IrishTiger89
If they did it because she was Indian then they are sad people
Posted on 8/20/19 at 7:09 pm to IrishTiger89
So ? Why does it matter if we severely curtail even legal immigration? I’m sorry that Wang can’t bring over all six hundred and fifty of his cousins.

When they try to get their children into Universities and realize no one suffers more at the hands of affirmative action style democrat policies than Asians, do you think they regret it?

Simply being a refugee doesn't automatically grant you access to another sovereign nation.
The assertion was that the GOP is anti-immigration. Inaccurate.

Most Asians I know don’t view immigration as a huge deal, one way or another
They are high skilled immigrants who trump doesn’t want to bar entry to.
I don’t have the data to back me up, but my guess is that Asians vote dem because they are urban dwelling social liberals.
McCain and bush, both soft as baby shite on immigration, lost Asians by a large margin.

They also tend to be quite well educated, and college educated voters have shifted heavily toward the Democratic Party

Kind of like mixing up climate change with man-made climate change.

Yea, but i don’t think there is a huge difference in how non-college Asians vote vs college Asians. So it might not be a decisive reason.
One thing I hate about the trump era is the “college vs non college” divide. I am very uncomfortable with the idea that people who did not attend college are “uneducated” on key issues. It’s a very non-democratic viewpoint, because it almost seems like an argument that those with lower educational levels don’t have as worthy an opinion.
