What's the cause in Asian-Americans voting overwhelmingly Dem now?

This isn't a random thought, I just happened to come across a thread yesterday in which a posted said Asians typically vote GOP. The only problem is they used* to vote GOP.
*( I pulled the data from the Roper Center Public Opinion Institute)
1992
Clinton 31 Bush 45 (Perot 15)
1996
Clinton 44 Dole 48 (Perot 8)
2000
Bush 41 Gore 55
2004
Bush 43 Kerry 56
2008
McCain 35 Obama 62
2012
Romney 26 Obama 73
2016
Trump 27 Hillary 65
I couldn't locate the actual statistics but I believe the GOP did well or marginally well with Asian Americans from the 60s-80s.
What changed from 2000 to present?

Non stop propaganda on how Republicans hate anyone who isnt white

Just look at the makeup of the GOP delegations in DC. It is a very white party that is very vocally anti-immigration

False. Don't mix up anti-immigration with anti-illegal immigration

Do you think the US should legally allow 1) more or 2) less immigrants into this country?

Two big things
A big part is early Asian immigrants were very much anti communism and the gop appealed to them. Later generations didn’t know what communism was like
Second, crime was a huge issue for Asians in 80s and 90s. They are a law and order people, and inner city violence was a big deal for their communities. Dems were weak on crime in 80 and early 90s. Clinton changed that
They vote dem now because they are pretty socially liberal and urban dwelling.

Less. I think we have enough people for the time being. What’s the point of immigration laws if the numbers don’t need to be controlled periodically?

This is such a lazy, racially superficial answer.
Under such logic, should a white person not vote dem because only 35% or so of whites are democrat?
Also, if your answer is correct, why did the gop do well with Asians in the 80s and 90s, when they were just as white of a party?

So an Asian shouldn’t vote for people who don’t look like them? Sounds racist

I look at what the Dem platform is currently and the mainstream issues.
-free healthcare for illegal immigrants
-Medicare for all
-tax the wealthy
-open borders
If this continues, which I don’t see how it will cease, I’m curious if Asians would turn back to the GOP.
Many Asians are small business owners I can’t imagine these policies being winners for them. Many are also in STEM related positions in their careers which are also targeted by these policies.

While the Republican Party has stayed mostly white, the Democrats have added a lot of diversity to their delegations

irishtiger89 is from South Carolina and has no clue what Asians think
I live and work around many Asians. They vote dem primarily because they are to the left on many key issues such as guns, abortion, and healthcare.

My point exactly. The GOP is for less legal immigration and Trump has cut immigration numbers
