Yall are just wrong here. I know it's hard to admit. I'm doing it right now. I voted for him in 16. I was wrong. I was duped.

It's happening in Minnesota because the leadership there is encouraging it and wants it to happen.

Ok. Maybe I’m stupid. But I still want to know why is it that ICE is operating in states from coast to coast, many of them with more ICE agents than Minnesota, but it’s only in Minnesota that they’re shooting people?
Since you’re obviously smarter than I am, you should be able to explain it in a way that is easy to understand.

Wasn't this border patrol?

It’s happening in Minnesota because trump has a vendetta against Tim Walz.

So, you think Trump has issued orders for ICE agents in Minnesota to shoot people there but not in other states? And if he has a vendetta against Tampon Tim, why are there more ICE agents in several other states than Minnesota?

Taco trump has 3,000 in Minneapolis alone and wants to send in the military. Who tops that?

It's about time for Trump to act like one of the Greatest Men that America has ever produced: Ulysses S. Grant.
Grant had to send troops into Autonomous States multiple times to enforce the rule of law against corrupt leadership who refused to abide by the Federal Laws.
The last part, bolded, is the most important part. Walz either can't or won't maintain law and order. (It's won't, but political courtesy requires he is given an "out" from the worst designation)
ETA: it's odd how the Chicago ICE operation has been abandoned by the protesters and ignored by the media. They sure left town with the quickness once they found out that the citizens and government of Chicago openly supported and cheered ICE on.
I have a feeling that most Minnesota citizens also agree with ICE, but the leadership is the problem. Take them out of the picture and the protesters will leave too.

quote:
President Ulysses S. Grant took direct federal control of state-level functions during Reconstruction, most notably by imposing martial law and suspending habeas corpus in parts of the South to combat the Ku Klux Klan.
Key instances and actions included:
South Carolina (1871): In October 1871, following widespread KKK violence, Grant instituted martial law in nine South Carolina counties, using federal troops to arrest and prosecute Klan members.
The Ku Klux Klan Act (1871): Urged by Grant, Congress passed this Act (Third Enforcement Act), which empowered the President to use federal troops and suspend habeas corpus to protect voter rights.
Georgia (1869–1870): Grant established federal military rule in Georgia to restore Black legislators who had been wrongfully expelled from the state legislature.
Enforcement of the 15th Amendment: Grant actively used federal power to ensure the ratification and enforcement of the 15th Amendment, which prohibited states from denying voting rights based on race.
While Grant believed in federal systems and state autonomy, he intervened when state governments could not or would not maintain law and order or protect the civil rights of citizens.
