What would happen if the US cut all welfare and entitlements and subsidies?

How much money would we be saving without all that pork barrel? We national debt could probably be paid off by the time President Trump’s second term ends, probably even before. He’d leave office with a surplus.

You’d probably save a lot of money in the short and long term, but it would probably cause a short term downturn in the economy. People would actually have to find jobs and do work for themselves. But once you rip the band aid off and root out the weak in society, things will improve.

The ones the D’s told him to complain about! Those evil O&G subsidies that remain unnamed, because they have no clue what they are talking about. 
As someone in the industry, I believe all operators get is the ability to write off their operating/drilling/Workover/etc cost. You know, things all companies write off......their expenses!
