A Convention of States, put them on commision with strict term limits.
End the "elected" royalty system in America.

Term Limits by Vince Flynn is a political thriller centered on a group of disillusioned former military operatives who, frustrated with corruption and gridlock in the U.S. government, form a secret organization to impose term limits by assassinating corrupt politicians. Their actions target powerful figures, demanding reforms and threatening more killings if their demands aren’t met. The plot follows the ensuing chaos in Washington, D.C., as the government scrambles to respond, with FBI agent Skip McMahon and young congressional staffer Michael O’Rourke caught in the web of intrigue. The novel explores themes of political corruption, power, and vigilantism, setting the stage for Flynn’s Mitch Rapp series, though Rapp plays a minor role here.
Probably the best book ever written by Vince Flynn, it was written in the 1990s and nothing has changed. Congress has always been and always will be corrupt unless

Consequences for not doing their job, for starters.
The word "gallows" comes to mind.
Our forefathers would've locked these worthless bastards in their chambers and set the building afire.

That's what we get for voting in lawyers.

Also, vetting the judicial candidates that they vote for in local and state elections, with the same holding true for school board candidates….
What will it take for our Congress to actually do work?
This would be a starting point ….

There have been many sources that confirm that the large majority of Congressmen are only in their offices 3 days a week. They leave town on Thursday nites, to return home, & only return to D.C. late Monday nites. They all have home offices, nice tax deductions, but safe to assume there is more smooching with their local friends /donors than any real "work".

Article five. Yeah.
Good luck with that.
There’s a reason the Founding Fathers made it difficult to amend the Constitution.
An Article 5 convention of states is more doable than making congress/permanent Washington work for the American people.

I find it sad and a bit comical that these threads go on for pages about whats wrong with our elected leadership.
Its so damn simple, yet folks always want to shirk their responsibility. We the people are responsible for each and every Congressman serving in DC. It's on us.

We put too much faith in mere men.

It will take about 10 or 15 more seats being on the GOP side that are for the change that is needed.
The balance in the House is so tight they can't pass a budget.
The reality is, the right have not won enough elections to create a movement and the Executive is fighting a woke bigoted judiciary.

What we ought to do is keep vilifying Massie who actually wants to make real cuts and keep supporting the conservative-in-name-only GOPers who construct and support a fricking joke like the BBB. I bet that will be a sure-fire winning strategery.
