When I think Fascist it's not just authoritarian, Communism does that as well. It is the act of back rubbing of private businesses and authoritarian government.

I think of outlandish protective tariffs to prop up private businesses in the North

War so as to enrich military contractors/ arms manufacturers at the expense of soldiers' lives

Forcing citizens to purchase or use a product (Obamacare/ Vax mandates) or be fined or impacted.

German communities were swamped with federal agents during WW1. When they were found to exceptional citizens, sending their sons in droves to fight, no matter what language they spoke, they were virtually ignored during WW2.

Kind of hard to question someone’s loyalty when they point to the gold star(s) on the mantle.

Huh? Leftist SDS queers started fights with the cops for the purpose of provoking a violent response, so they could call the USA a police state. It's the same thing they did at the Chicago convention. This is not my opinion. Jerry Rubin, Abby Hoffman and others later admitted it.

They shot into a crowd. Not at any specific people. They killed people at random who were not in the SDS. That stupidity caused THOUSANDS of college students to join the SDS the very next week. Hell, there was a line of them at USL in Lafayette, La.

You just can't help yourself, can you? You TDS riddled groomers just vomit garbage in every thread.

I voted right alongside you for Bill Clinton. I have no doubt his actions are still OK.

Funny how you make a list, you get upvotes from others (myself included), then go on a few TDS riddled replies not realizing that your list consists of acts committed by the same group(s) that want to dispose of Trump. Not to mention the Democrat party led the vast majority of those as well.

Good job on derailing the thread with your TDS.

Concentration camps are not necessarily extermination camps.

Interestingly, the death rate among inmates in some "work" camps, such as Mauthausen, was about the same as the death rate in some extermination camps.

I hate the income tax, but its not 'fascist'. Nor is many of the mentioned in this thread. Tyrannical or authoritarian or just bad policy =/= automatically 'fascist'

The word is being overused to the point of meaninglessness.

Stop paying taxes and ignore the penalties for a few years. Assuming they don’t garnish your wages and take your money directly from you before you have a chance to get it, let me know if it feels fascist or not.

You have zero choice and face severe penalties for opposing it.

It was in response to all of the violence the SDS was starting. Rubin didn't give a shite who got hurt, just as long as his scheme to garner support succeeded. Looks like it did.

The National Guard that day suffered from terrible leadership, discipline and organization. They should have had full riot gear, w/ shields and batons.
Of the 77 Guard, only 29 fired their weapon. Why? Lack of clear orders, panic and confusion ruled. Some were hit with rocks, but very few of them.
I am not excusing the protesters actions, but the Guard fricked up that day and people died.
