Honestly I think it was a test to see how the world would react.
Covid, while bad has an overall low mortality rate. So they released it to see what would happen and if things went well (for China) and they went really well (for China) they know they can release a much more virulent virus when the time suits them.
My guess is that virus will be released when the world is there in China for the 2022 Olympics

They’ve neutered their biggest enemy from the inside. And the dem’s were the accomplices. They’ve been bought and paid for. They benefited the most in the short term, communism the most in the long term.

Do I think they sat around like super villains plotting the use of a super virus to destroy their enemies? No. What I do think happened once the virus got out was that assholes from Beijing to Washington DC took full advantage of it. We’re in the midst of a real life never let a crisis go to waste timeline. Look how fast governments big and small around the country and around the globe latched onto new found power. The ability to control lives, control movement, control speech and control dissent has never been so strong. While some are fighting hard to reclaim their freedoms, you have just as many fighting to give them away to the state. More importantly than any giant conspiracy is that the true nature of man has been revealed over and over throughout the pandemic. It’s that the temptation to seize control over fellow men is irresistible in times of crisis and opportunity. It takes an incredibly strong man to resist those urges. Anyone see any truly strong leaders on the world stage at this moment?

I think it was a Fauci/China GOF accident. However, China's one child only policy has resulted in too many old people and not enough working age people. Covid kills mostly old folks.

The Chinese no more intended to release this thing into Wuhan than New Orleans intended to have the Claiborne Bridge drop 5ft last night. Incompetency leads to unexpectedly bad results.
Accidents at the WIV were predictable. That is why Fauci and Collins funneling money to them through Daszak and EcoHealth, then lying about it, should be pursued criminally.
The sinister part was China's deliberate release of CV19 to the rest of the world, once they realized they'd screwed up. That is the part for which they should pay dearly.

It's globalism. The great reset or whatever you want to call it. Look at the democracies around the world. They're under attack. The Government is not just taking our freedoms. They're attacking our culture. Americans value individualism and our pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness. That is apart of our culture. We are free thinking people and that is dangerous to the globalist agenda. They're changing education curriculums for kids and young adults. Trump started a nationalist movement and I believe it scared the shite out of them. The elites, media, and so on have went to war to push our culture towards collectivism. They want this to be a top down culture. They want us all to think a like. Why do you think they attack you if you don't take the vaccine or wear a mask? It's not because they care. Look at the capital flows since our shutdown. There's more of a wealth gap between individuals than there has ever been. Corporations are stronger and bigger than they have ever been. The middle class and small business are the ones who struggled. Is this all a coincidence?

I remember reading somewhere that China closed off Wuhan province after the virus escaped but allowed international travel to continue. If true, that certainly points toward intention to infect the world.

It was funded by us, created in China to be used for political purposes. Then, it got too big to control. Now, they don't know what to do.

Bingo! The virus broke out in Wuhan in December . But they allowed thousands to travel from Wuhan to all over the world. Probably sent some to the Super Bowl, Mardi Gras, New Years celebration in NYC. Widely attended events... all in January and February. Thus, the huge outbreaks immediately afterward.
