What really disturbing about the assassination of Charlie Kirk

Is the reaction of many people celebrating it. First, it proves that there is a large number of people in our country who are so depraved, so morally bankrupt, that they’ve lost all sense of humanity. They lack even the most simple human traits of empathy.
But even more than that, their reaction shows there is a sizable number of Americans who support political assassination to further their political agenda. This should concern us all. One of the cornerstones of our country is the belief in freedom of speech, that anyone can peacefully express their beliefs, even if we don’t agree with those beliefs. The free exchange of ideas is critical to flourishing of democracy. But these people reject this concept. They want those with a different political view to be silenced. And if silencing them means murder, all the better.
What’s most ironic about all this is the same people celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk have spent the last several months clutching their pearls concerned about “threats” to Democracy and “fascism”, yet their blind to the fact they are right now today cheering actual fascism and a very real threat to democracy.

Ive blocked a ton of people today and usually im pretty tolerant about it. Not anymore.

I’ve actually thought about that a lot the last couple of days. And I’m sure I’m far from alone in this regard. 24 years ago today, this country was more united than it had been since probably WWII. Fast forward to day, and there is a segment of our population who absolutely loathe our country, our constitution, and anyone who doesn’t harbor that same hate in their heart.

I'm not sure if they lack it, they're just more willing to freely give it away. I think it's inherently built into most of our souls. Sure, sociopaths are different but I don't think these people are all sociopaths. I think they're lacking a morale and spiritual compass. There seeking worldly validations, frequently through social media engagements (good or bad) and are willing to literally sell their soul and the goodness God has put on their heart for worldly pleasures.

I find it more disturbing that some people have said they are gonna go kill innocents as retaliation for something they didn't do.

I have zero doubt it would not come close to closing the political divide. The left has become so radicalized and their hate for America and its founding principles so deep, just as they cheer this political assassination, they’d likewise cheer another 9/11 style attack.
Think about it, Osama Bin Laden attacked our country because he hated our country. He wanted to bring America to its knees. These radical leftists hate our country every bit as much as him and his followers who flew those planes 24 years ago.

The left is truly disturbed, and I think this was the wake up for many people.

Your side has the floodgates open on celebrating Charlie’s assassination. It’s ALL OVER Facebook, laugh reactions to his death news, etc and those are not anonymous
