LOL, y’all enjoy your shitty fall. I’m sure you can find pro arm wrestling or something that “ain’t political/agrees with me on everything

Why would avoiding being lectured at be shitty? I’ll miss what I used to love about sports but if that’s no longer on offer than what am I still watching for?

There really are a ton of other things to do and leagues behaving this way has jarred some loose to go and find them.

ZERO

And college sports too when it becomes polluted with anti-American, political bullshite. And it is very close.

none. Done.

I would lean toward Hockey, if it wasn't on ESPN.

I have never watched Soccer or the NHL. I can’t remember the last time I watched the NBA or MLB. It’s been several years since I watched an NFL game. So I don’t see that trend changing.

Yeah, frick espn. Not watching espn ever again. Unless the hogs are playing.
Too bad, I might have enjoyed hockey.
I quit watching pro sports years ago, though I have played ffl every year.

I guess a fall without sports just sounds terrible to me. I feel like broadcasters, athletes, etc... have been saying dumbass stuff my whole life, and it’s never made me think about not watching the sport anymore. I mean, are you really going to renounce everything LSU?

ESPN rarely covers hockey. Hockey fans in general complain about how much ESPN ignores hockey.

For national broadcasts I think NBC plays the most. I watch the majority of my hockey from local coverage.

Roger - I'm giving myself a little wiggle room because I might look at NFL playoffs or the Superbowl - not as sporting events, but common cultural events.

Considering I watched a half dozen or so Saints games, 2 playoff games and the Superbowl last year, not a huge stretch to cut down from that.

I never watched much MLB, MLS or NHL. Not much NBA since 2000.

This was my first reaction as well. But once I decided on “the why” of it all I no longer felt this way.

Speaking only for myself, this feels a lot different to me. This feels even greater than feeling the need to take a political stance when no one is interested in hearing your politics. This has become an overt accusation towards a huge percentage of the American public. Because of that I simply know that I’m not going to find nearly the same amount of enjoyment watching these guys perform as I used to now knowing what they are only too happy to tell me what they think of me. The mileage of others may vary.

Yes. Either LSU is behaving cynically in order to kowtow to this movement, or they are true believers. Either way, the way I felt about LSU Athletics has changed and unless there was a wholesale apology for what has taken place I don’t think I could ever look at them the same way again.

curling.

Kneeling is a function of game play, not political division.
