Republicans just got creamed.
40 seat loss in the House.
Only picked up 2 seats in the Senate in their most favorable map in a generation.
Orange County, CA is now completely blue.
Largest winning vote margin by Democrats in the history of the country.
Trump's disapproval is at 60%.
Progressive policies championed by Democrats were passed by voters in states as Red as Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas.
etc.

Given the historic unpopularity of Republicans as demonstrated a few weeks ago, what do you guys think your party needs to do to get better? Because clearly the current tactics aren't winning you more votes than they're costing you.

Look at history, arse. Happened just about every off year election, except after 911 for the last 40 years.

God I hate knee jerk takes like this.

What did democrats do after 2010 and 2014 and 1994?

What did republicans do after 2006 and 2008?

Are you not aware that politics is like a pendulum? Things tend to swing back and forth.

2016 was an awful year for democrats. 2 years later, look what happens.

2008 was a historically bad year for republicans. 2 years later, look what happens.

Apparantly promise a bunch of free shite and play into the victim mentality because that’s all the Democrats have been doing for 60 years.

Manufacture problems and then pretend to care about a solution all the while knowing perpetuating the problem is great for business.

1. Support the investigation by Mueller. McConnell needs to stop Whittaker.

2. If anything but a full report is published, you will never ever hear the end of it.

I think the Republicans need to dump Trump and put forth a candidate whose appeal is broader than the politics of fear.

Do you ever look at historical trends in midterm elections? The Republicans will win back the House in '20 and retain the Senate.

a. no matter who they pick, you'll still say he/she is promoting the "politics of fear". y'all used this line on Mitt fricking Romney

b. uh...Trump won. Milquetoast Republicans who wanted the DEMs to like them (McCain, Romney) lost.
