It's relative to age of course, but I'm interested in hearing what others share with their kids and to what level.

-Globalism
-Plandemic
-Election fraud
-Censorship
-Wokeness
-Climate change
-Self identity
-God vs Satan
-AI/Humanity & technology
-"other" from either side & regardless of personal leans

My kids are fresh out of college & despite attending bastions of insanity PAC 12/BIG 10 campuses, I'd say the depth and intensity of our communications are MAGA and a good 9.5/10 in terms of substance.

On the level that my kids won't date vaccinated or liberals & while a few long time liberal friends have "hung on", they aren't taking any on moving forward.

They see the big picture.

Sounds like you might be crazier than the world. Try to comfort them and do your best to make sure they have a normal upbringing. No reason to share your dumb and possibly wrong view of the world with them. Let them grow up like normal people.

Forget everything I said in my previous post. They'll be fine.

My oldest is 9. She knows how I feel about Biden. She doesn't really grasp why other than he's a horrible President* and he hates America.

My youngest daughter is headed to college in the fall. Small, mostly conservative school.

I've discussed with her, in at least some depth, everything you listed. More than anything, I've warned her about indoctrination at the University level, and that even at a more "conservative" school she's going to interact with students and professors who will attempt to remold her into their ideology.

She's pretty staunch in her beliefs even at 17, so my worries are minimal... but it still concerns me.

Nice assumption pussy. Why do you counts projection your insecurities and paranoid beta mentality onto everything?

I don’t talk to my 8 or 5 year old about any of that. We live in a great school district and as parents, are aware of all that goes on there. We also go to church almost every Sunday.

I want my kids to be kids. They don’t need to worry about that stuff right now. They just know that if they see something that seems off, then to tell me or mom and stranger danger. Same shite I was taught 30 years ago

Sounds like you were engaged and contributed much in their upbringing. The fact that they made it out of a current university "unwoke" is the exception and not the rule.
Good job and good luck to them on their journey!

Normal being completely subjective means different things to different people.

Most people here would certainly consider you to not be normal.

He’s not. This is purely a western and Marxist thing. It doesn’t even have real majority support here. You are falling for an illusion

My daughter and I have conversations about the world and what’s going on all
The time. I allow her to draw her own conclusions as long as the basis for her arguments and beliefs are rooted in logic and not emotion. We discuss the difference between logical and emotional decisions and positions and why both are important, but acknowledge that logic often leads to a better and more predictive outcome.

I am a right leaning moderate, live and let live, don’t really care what people do kinda guy. My daughter is further right than me. She is a live and let live kinda person, but far more outspoken about the ludicrousness of it all, and often have to get her to tone it down. Respect is big in our house…

Basically, if she decides to run for president one day, y’all are gonna flock to vote for her arse, lol.

Who wipes your arse for you every morning? Why do you post circa 2004 things that don't apply today?

How many kids have you raised to share your dated & dumb political views with?

How stupid do you have to be to think that most of the world supports this stuff? I promise you they don’t. Again, there isn’t even majority support here for many of these things. He’s not only lying, he’s trying to lecture people with his lies

We aren't there yet but it will be Jesus sacrificed, God, Constitution/bill of rights in that order. Later will come income to debt ratio.

Teaching about the Lord will negate that list. Teaching their rights will help them navigate any pushback.

This is so true. And agreed with the comments of those that have little ones. No need to rant to them.

But they are being influenced by your common sense.

Monitoring their classes curriculum and pre-viewing sex ed movies as was offered to me years ago. Also sex ed should not be happening in first grade. IIRC: it was 6th or 7th grade and basic biology 101.

My daughter is 11 and we talk about self reliance, managing money, life goals, consequences. She learned to shoot at 4, hunt and fish by 7, and can clean/cook stuff she catches/kills now. She can look at normal household repairs and use hand tools to fix them.

She gets her own pocket money (100.00) a month on a debit card to keep track of her spending and learn about money. This has done wonders to curtail the “I want it” phase with everything. It teaches her to save and plan instead of impulse buy. Next month she is getting a 25.00 raise and she is planning on trying prepaid Mint mobile service so she can use her phone away from Wi-Fi.

My hope is that by teaching her to be a strong independent female she will naturally trend towards a more conservative outlook. By teaching her to at least try to handle stuff herself she will not look for someone else to fix her issues. By learning the value of money she will not be buried in debt looking for someone else to fix her money issues. And the last thing I do is we only go to church casually. Because I want her to have faith in God but we are somewhere between the Easter/Christmas church goers and the every time the doors open folks. I want her to enjoy it not view it as a chore.

The thing I wish I could give her that I had is the great world tour. I had the Asian and African tour as a child had a baseline to compare a couple different economic systems to. That pretty much guaranteed I would never support communism or socialism. She has met and sat in with friends that I’ve met in my travels. Hopefully those accounts are enough.
