My point is that it's fascinating how many working-class conservatives identify with someone whose life has almost nothing in common with their own. That's the part I've never understood.
Trump doesn’t believe in woke, racist liberal nonsense. He is much closer to normal than anything on the deranged left.

Not all, for me at least. That’s only part of it.

The term “(Name of President) Derangement Syndrome” as it pertains to how people react to the actions of presidents came before Trump.
It’s not like MAGA owns it.
I believe it originally started as Bush derangement syndrome, became Obama derangement, and so on. And yes, people who care too much about their favorite political party “owning” the other political party use the term way too frequently. It’s a lazy cop-out for someone who doesn’t want to do the work, put for the effort, to engage in civil debate.
That’s just my opinion. As always, I reserve the right to change my mind given further evidence or knowledge.

I support trump on most things BUT, I have thought from day 1 that he made a big mistake getting involved in that Iran war. You can make mistakes that you can recover from but not this one. This is going to lead to a major change in the way the usa projects power in the world. But in the long run, that might be a good thing.
You're almost getting it... It was definitely done, in large part, to change/establish the U.S.A.'s standing and power in the world and eliminate growing threats.
I didn't like our military involvement in Iran either, thinking it wasn't the best decision is fine, but I also know Iran has been wreaking havoc in the region and the world for decades and they needed desperately to be put in check. Especially before they get nukes. Then when I saw we were doing coordinated pin point air and missle strikes with no boots on the ground, I wasn't as mad about it and decided to let Trump cook. THEN when all the usual TDS libs and woke right "true conservative" panicans started piling on, chiming in with their muh da JOOs BS and crying about "muh Israel is controlling Trump" BS... and when you could tell people were openly rooting for Iran to "win" so Trump took an L... and the dumbfricks acting like a few weeks with no boots on the ground or intent to put boots on the ground was the second coming of Iraq, Aghanistan and Vietnam... acting as if were were roiled in another 10 or 20+ year protracted nation building/regime change MIC war profiteering fest ala Cheney/Bush... that's when I dug in on my support for Trump and what we're doing in Iran... after most of those same people had just been cheering on fighting "Russia" (Putin) in the Ukraine, only because they still delusionally believe Putin and Trump were besties and Russian Collusion actually happened. That and I educated myself on what is really going on, the history with Iran, and how it benefits us in the bigger picture with our power and standing in the world versus legitimate enemies.

You are either on Team America or Team Democrats
I know it sucks for some of you people to understand this but as of today in the year 2026, it is not about Republicans vs Democrats. Our country is being attacked by socialist communists from the inside
They are trying to turn the entire country into
California, NYC, Minnesota, Illinois, Virginia, Seattle, Michigan, etc
Until this rot is taken out of power, the traditional Republicans vs Democrats is in timeout
People just need to let Trump and his team defeat this shite first and not nitpick every single fricking thing the guy does and realize that we are walking on a very slippery slope with these people. 95% of the things bitch about Trump on here is petty garbage

Being educated on what you disagree with is usually enough for me. TDS is when you disagree with something but shrivel up at simple questions like "why?"
The reflecting pool and other idiotic topics like it are also a litmus test for me, if we are expanding beyond actual policy or important things.

"I let Trump cook."
There it is. Three words that saved everyone from reading the other 400.
Everything after that is just an attempt to make blind loyalty sound like careful reasoning.
You are an exhibit of brain rot associated with TDS and maga pathology.

I agree with the vast majority of the policy decisions and focus of Trump's presidency. I think he has done a good job.
I do not care at all for the man himself, his history, or the way he talks and treats others.
I would have no desire to know him or count him as a friend, but I like having him in the White House.
A guy I work with is all in MAGA and says that I have a low level form of TDS.
Where is the line?
I would love to golf with him. Otherwise, your post is pretty close and I voted for him 73 times.

No use in even saying much about this.
Nothing will change American First ideas and nothing will change those opposed.
