I’ve watched about a half dozen clips from him over the past 10 years and gotten almost a dozen answers.

Why does it matter?

It's not a federal issue.

Because I may want to vote for him in 2024 and I care about the issue. Good enough?

Don't know his personal stance on abortion, that really doesn't matter. What matters is that I do know the judges he chose for SCOTUS overturned RvW, that is all I need to know.

I don't think he cares one way or another, his voters are against it, so he is against it.

Personally? I think he is pro-choice. But he is not psycho about it and was willing to admit that maybe others know better in this arena. He was willing to let the justices do their job.

In the end it does not matter because he stayed true to his word and nominated pro-life judges. Therefore I do not care.

He feels that it is an issue that your state legislature should decide. Why is that so hard to understand?

No. POTUS has zero to do with abortion in this country. SCOTUS just said so.

He’s made it very clear that he’s anti-abortion/pro-life. He is the ONLY President that was ever willing to go speak at the March for Life, and that was with an upcoming election in the near future. You can, in the very least, say that he is politically pro-life. Personally? Who cares.

When they asked Trump about the Roe vs Wade decision, he said "God made the decision, and I believe he is a man of faith.

So that would be his stance IMO

I actually forgot about this. They melted pretty hard about it.

He was previously pro-choice. But after seeing the birth of his grandchildren, he came over to the pro-life side.

And note this: he is the ONLY President who ever spoke at the March for Life rally, held annually in DC.

This is true and I forgot about it. The fact is his actions were more important than his words. He stated he would nominate pro-life judges, and he did. We have had decades of lip-service from presidents in regard to r vs wade. But Trump actually did something. If Bush was in power he likely would have selected a liberal to fill RBG seat.

I think this is silly.

The Roe/Dobbs decision is a ruling on whether a Constitutional right exists, which is a purely a technical, legal matter. Only once that matter is out-of-the-way can we reach the SUBSTANTIVE question of whether it is good public policy to allow or to ban abortion ... and under what circumstances. Personal opinions about the PROPRIETY of abortion should have ZERO bearing upon that LEGAL question.

On the other hand, a politician's position on the latter is more important than his (probably uninformed) opinion on the legal validity of Roe/Dobbs.

Because as a Christian, it’s important that we elect people who support Christian values. Have to make sure that they don’t believe in committing adultery, making a mistake, and trying to cover up that mistake by killing an innocent, unborn child.
